WORLD HOMEOPATHY AWARENESS WEEK!
In the 1930s, British medical doctor and homeopath Dr Edward Bach developed 38 flower remedies for promoting physical and emotional healing. Administered at homoeopathically low concentrations, they are used worldwide, singly and in combination, and favoured for their gentle benefits.

April is Bowel Cancer Awareness Month, a fantastic annual opportunity to raise awareness of bowel cancer and funds to support research into treatment and prevention.
The earlier bowel cancer is spotted, the more treatable it's likely to be.
In fact, more than 9 in 10 people survive bowel cancer when it is diagnosed at the earliest stage.
To learn more about the healing power of exercise after a bowel cancer diagnosis, head to the link below to read Sarah Russell's 'Bowel Cancer Recovery Toolkit'.
Sarah Russell aims to fill the gap in the patient pathway where there is little knowledge about rehabilitation and the benefits of exercise after abdominal surgery. Her research, based on a survey of 2,700 patients, showed that people become less active and lose confidence after a cancer diagnosis, but being more active can in fact have disproportionately positive effects, with the power to rebuild confidence and self-esteem when most needed.

Tuesday 2nd April marked International Children's Book Day!
It got us reminiscing on the books we used to love as children.
We asked some of our authors about the books they loved best when growing up, or that got them reading, and their responses were fascinating!
Frances Ive, author of One Step Ahead of Osteoarthritis, says: ‘I am going to say: Alice in Wonderland, which I loved so much that it got my imagination going. I think Peter Pan and all Enid Blyton books (especially The Famous Five) did the same.'
Raymond Perrin, author of The Perrin Technique, says: ‘My favourite 2 books as a child were All Creatures Great and Small by James Herriot and My Family and Other Animals by Gerald Durrell. I loved animals and wanted to be a vet or own a zoo, so definitely recommend these two if any child has the same dreams.'
Julie Sullivan, author of The Gallstone-friendly Diet, says: ‘Two books are responsible for my early love of reading – Watership Down by Richard Adams, and The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe by CS Lewis.’
