Police in Hartlepool are appealing for witnesses to an incident at The Lodge Bar on Church Street on Friday 29th March. Officers are investigating an alleged assault at around half past midnight (just into Saturday 30th March), where a victim has been punched in the face several times leaving her with swelling and a black eye. A 23-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of assault and bailed pending further enquiries. Anyone with information is asked to call 101 quoting reference SE24056562.

The 32-year-old, of Bowesfield Lane, was arrested at the property at 9am on Friday 7 June on suspicion of offering to supply cannabis and possession of cannabis. After being taken into custody to be questioned by detectives from Cleveland Police’s Dedicated Drugs and County Lines Team he was subsequently charged. He appeared at Teesside Magistrates Court on Saturday 8 June and was remanded. The charges relate to a mobile phone suspected of being operated as a messaging service to advertise the supply of drugs.

Just after 12.05pm today (Monday 10th June), police were called to an address in Howe Street in Middlesbrough after hearing that a male was making threats and was in possession of a weapon. Officers attended however it was confirmed that no incident was taking place, no-one had sustained any injuries, and no one wished to report any incident. On searching the property, police recovered a machete and a 30-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession of a bladed article. He has been taken into custody where he will be questioned. Enquiries are ongoing.

Police are appealing for information following an alleged assault outside of Wilkos on East Street, Darlington town centre. The incident is believed to have taken place at around 3.45pm yesterday (Sunday, June 2). A man is alleged to have assaulted a 14-year-old child. Anybody with any information relating to the incident is asked to contact Durham Police on 101, quoting incident number 286 of June 2. Officers would also like to speak to three individuals believed to have intervened, who may be able to assist police in their enquiries.
