Vintage Lusterware Porcelain China Demitasse Tea Set, including a Teapot with lid, Creamer, Sugar Bowl with lid, and 6 cups and 6 saucers. This vintage tea set is a very pastel mint green with gold accents. The transfer-applied decoration features two classic Greek Revival women playing with a small child in a garden-like setting. The set is stamped Made in Japan and was most likely made in the 1940s.
This set is highlighted with gold enamel paint in the design, on the handles, on the top of the lids, and along the rims.
Condition: The teapot, lid, 6 Demitasse cups, and 6 saucers are all in very good condition with only one tiny chip on the teapot spout. Have to feel to find it. NOTE: The base of the sugar bowl is a tiny bit wobbly due to an error during the firing process. It sits ok but is not quite flat on one side. The creamer has one small chip at the base which has been repaired but is noticeable. Due to these two small condition flaws, we are pricing this set without factoring in the creamer and sugar bowl into the price even though they will be included when purchased.

TEAPOT: 8 inches tall (including lid), 3 inch base diameter
CREAMER: 3 3/4 inches tall, 1 7/8 inch base diameter
SUGAR BOWL: 4 inches tall (including lid), 2 1/4 inch base diameter
CUPS: 2 1/4 inches tall, 1 1/2 inch base diameter
SAUCERS: 4 3/8 inches in diameter
