As well as our bigger productions, we’re always interested in ways to make video more time-and-cost-effective for our clients. So we’re thinking of offering remote product video services – where clients send us their products, we shoot their video in or near our premises (saving them travel and location costs), and then we edit and send everything back.

To demonstrate, here’s a little mock-up we quickly put together, which was shot remotely and features Two Birds Parma Violet Gin (Two Birds aren’t a client, we just had a bottle in – and who doesn’t love Two Birds?!).
https://youtube.com/shorts/_Nu4OFXgDdM?feature=share

Video and photo package options are available. We’d love to hear from anyone who’d benefit from this type of service, such as local distilleries, artists and makers, and anyone who creates bespoke products. Does that sound interesting? If so, get in touch with us today!

Today is the first day of a new trading year for us, so we're taking a moment to look back - with gratitude - at the 12 months just gone.

As was the case for many filmmakers and creative/small businesses in the UK, 2023-2024 was our most challenging year since the pandemic. It wasn't always easy, but thanks to our supporters and returning clients - plus a couple of fun new commissions along the way - we managed to stay afloat.

Better times are definitely on the horizon, and our summer calendar is already looking pretty full. But if you or anyone you know would like a video to help promote your business, please get in touch.

We had a great time at The Short Cinema in Leicester last night; how wonderful it was to see one of our favourite local festivals making a triumphant return after a pandemic-induced hiatus! Thank you to everyone for your kind words about 'A Different Place' after the screening.

And to make a fab night even better, our wonderful leading lady Michelle Darkin Price took home the award for 'Best Performance 2024'!! We may be a bit biased, but we think the win was very well deserved indeed.

On this day in 2014 - exactly ten years ago! - a team of filmmakers began shooting 'Night Owls', a tale of two lost souls coming together and finding understanding & friendship over the course of one night (starring Jonny McPherson and Holly Rushbrooke). This video is a snapshot into what was a calm and rewarding little shoot: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/Eek8TCYq4e4

Some fantastic collaborations and bonds were formed in the process of making the film - many of which are still going strong today! The finished 'Night Owls' premiered at the BAFTA-qualifying LSFF in 2016 before going on to win 17 awards across its global festival run, and we couldn't have been more proud.

Happy birthday, 'Night Owls'!

We’ve specialised in producing videos for artists and creative businesses for years now, and during that time we’ve seen a fantastic growing trend of clients using film to tell their customers about the person behind the brand, mixing cinematic storytelling with an emotive sense of authenticity. As a result, we now have a dedicated section on our website to films like these, all of which feel like part of a series of artist’s portraits: https://www.triskellepictures.co.uk/artist-portraits

Back when they first launched, Beeston Film Festival was one of the few people to screen our early short film, Ashes. They had a humble venue, but a commitment to showing quality work and supporting local talent.

Flash-forward to now: Beeston is a BIFA-qualifying (!) festival with a global programme and a full cinema venue, and they're about to celebrate their 10th anniversary.

They also still love local film, and as a result, you can catch our latest short film - A Different Place - at their festival on Friday 26th April. More information in the attached banner, and tickets available here: https://beeston.admit-one.co.uk/?p=tickets&perfCode=44084

We're so happy to be a part of Beeston Film Festival once again!

Our latest video for Cathy Hay is online now, and this was such a special collaboration. We shot her interview and supporting cutaways in the beautiful Yorkshire countryside last summer, and seeing the footage of the gorgeous flower fields again is making us so nostalgic for warmer weather!

This video was made to introduce Cathy to her new followers, so it tells her full story, going beyond her current project to talk about how and why she creates.

A huge thank you to Cathy for trusting us with this very personal film!

Tomorrow marks two years since filming for 'A Different Place' (then called 'Room 515') first began. Two years! Where does the time go?

We'll be announcing more festival screenings for the film very soon but, in the meantime, we wanted to mark this anniversary by sharing another batch of BTS photos from the shoot. For this block, we've decided to mostly share images of lesser-seen (but very important!) members of crew. Click on the link below to see the full batch.

This is such an important campaign, and will really help support music festivals during these tumultuous years. If you want to help festivals, write to your local MP.

Help us to help festivals by lowering VAT down from 20% to 5% on ticket sales for the next three years - is all that's needed to give them the space they need to recover and rebuild.
