After nearly 15 years since its launch, CeraVe has grown massively over the past two years. With help from Tiktoker Hyram Yarbro who urged his followers that the affordable drug-store brand was ‘THE skincare to have.’ 🤩
According to CeraVe Global General Manager, Penelope Giraud, 2020 was especially impactful as the brand was recognised as one of the fastest growing for the year. 📈
The product even sold out in many stores in America after it found itself at the centre of a huge number of videos. Hyram, who isn’t a dermatologist but a skin specialist, urged his followers to avoid super expensive brands and to go for the CeraVe option. ☑️
Since Hyram, the company has had over 2,300 influencers posting about CeraVe products. 👀
Despite its plain packaging and almost ‘clinical’ look, CeraVe proved that consumers value quality and the results of the product, rather than aesthetically pleasing packaging.🧼
It was also reported that the brand “notched up 82 percent like-for-like sales gains in the first nine months” of 2020. Marc Toulemonde, president of L’Oreal’s North America Active Cosmetics division, told CNN that social media influence “absolutely boosted sales.”✨

Based in the UK, The Pink Stuff is a tough cleaning paste that works hard to remove stains. There was zero marketing for the product with the company's Managing Director Henrik Pade stating it was doing “absolutely nothing for 15 years.”
This was until a certain Mrs Hinch said it was great for cleaning her oven. The ‘Cleanfluencer’ now has over 4.1m followers after she started posting herself cleaning her home and favourite products. Her mentions of The Pink Stuff saw sales increase by 350% since her post and stories 🧽
Then TikTok came along, and the rise of #CleanTok saw The Pink Stuff being featured in people’s cleaning must-haves. The videos featuring the product soon reached over 250 million views.📱
The Results...
Three years ago, The Pink Stuff's turnover was around £2m; last year the company's turnover sat at £25m💸
A product that was once only featured in small retailers is now widely stocked in big name high street stores. Sales have also soared internationally, mostly from the US, who are always searching for the ‘miracle paste’.

Bringing experience to retail 😊🐾
Sanderson Barkade is an event that Sanderson Arcade, Morpeth Centre Manager Lottie Thompson and Katy Moody have had in the ideas jar for a long time now.
When we got the go-ahead surrounding restrictions just over a month ago, we all put our heads together and came up with an event filled with traders, demos and of course competitions that would give everyone a chance to safely enjoy celebrating our furry friends and emphasise that the Arcade is a pooch friendly place.
We had a significant increase in footfall, encouraged visitors from all across the North East and beyond and most importantly saw so many smiling happy faces again.
Huge thanks to Lottie Thompson, Molly Thompson, the brilliant Gordon and of course Matt Bailey for holding the full event together with his fantastic hosting.
Huge thanks are also due to our incredible speakers, our traders and all of our furry friends and owners that took the time to enter our Sanderson Barkade competitions.
