Thanks to all of Marc Bryant's efforts we now have the first stage of the new studio project almost complete. The roof is on with just a few finishing touches to go before I start on the inner structure. All very exciting - particularly as there's a potential new album project coming as soon as it is finished...

I've been really excited by this for the last few months - there's an almost complete new song on here, City People, that had never been properly mixed until I got hold of the multitrack tape back in the spring. In fact, I don't think anyone outside the original recording session would have heard Toyah's vocals as the only mixes that existed were rough instrumentals. Still 2 months to wait until the rest of the world can hear it though...

Toyah’s 1983 studio album Love Is The Law was the band’s final album for the Safari Records label. New remastered, and expanded editions are released by Cherry Red Records on Friday 8 November 2024.

Available on Transparent Red Vinyl the new LP carries the original album track list, and includes a new colour inner bag.

The Deluxe 2CD+DVD edition is expanded to include B-Sides, alternate mixes, rarities, demos, instrumentals and studio outtakes. A total of of 31 bonus tracks feature, of which 21 are previously unreleased.

The LP and 2CD+DVD artwork features newly scanned archive negatives from the original album photo shoot to refresh the visuals with an alternate front cover and achieve a high quality print finish.

It has taken a while to get this far but I think the wait has been worth it. They've released a couple of tantalising gems as singles but the whole album is really strong and well worth a listen. A real pleasure to master.

Over the last few weeks there has been a new project on the go here and the first result is a song for Olivia, from the Eclectics who is about to do her first gig with the punk band, Mutant With Attitude. It is rough and raw - like punk rock should be!
