It’s a publication with a focus in the field of photography, featuring the work of a wide range of talent from around the world and a variety of different backgrounds, from fashion, to photojournalism, travel to landscape and portraiture and so on and it asks them all to share their interpretation of a singular theme. It’s a submission-based journal that aims to release 4 issues a year, where each
issue has a theme and creatives are tasked with sharing their ideas for submission. Those who have their ideas accepted for publication are then supported to bring their concepts to life, in whatever way we can. The Quarterly is about challenging, provoking thought, embracing the awesome, championing talent and above all bringing value back to creatives and their work, in our own bold way. It’s not a new idea but we kinda think it’s daring, will likely ruffle a few feathers, and put some noses out of joint—especially when creative talent is often exploited and their real value goes unrecognised and underappreciated. It’s time for a creative journal with guts and integrity. How it works
Exposure: With a small initial print run, we can’t promise the moon. There won't be international, Times Square levels of fame but in time, and with your support, we really believe The Quarterly can become biblically epic. Passion: The design, photography, direction and editing are all created by a community of creatives with the same passion. No egos here, just honest to goodness love for our work and a drive to do things differently. High standards: We only accept submissions from members of our community, The Creative Book website as contributors of each issue. Joining is free and although we accept both established and aspiring creatives, being a member won’t guarantee you a spot on the team. It’s all about the idea and concept of the submission first. The website allows us to ensure the quality of work remains high and the content forever awesome. Exclusivity: The content created for The Quarterly will always be created specifically for each issue. You will never see content that has already been published elsewhere, it’s all totally bespoke and supercalifragilistically awesome.
