Valentine MK1 put out a variety of records and put on an impressive array of gigs, clubnights and one-off events. Of these, our schizoid electro-avant-pop-disco To Amy With Love is probably remembered with the most, er 'affection'. At the end of 2006 we decided to take an extended break, although there was a fair
amount of 'community crossover' with the Rebellious Jukebox project (2007-9) which co
mbined a guerilla-style DJ experience at Manchester's Deaf Institute, with gigs in basements with the likes of Kylie Minoise and her somewhat disturbing little sister Dannii. Then, in March 2010 we got bored of answering the question 'why did you stop doing Valentine?' and restarted it - and why the hell not! Since then we've put out records by (drum roll) I Lucifer, Neil Milton, Daniel Maze,
No-Way Sweden, Warscapes, Zoe K and Monkeys in Love
Most recently we celebrated our 10th Birthday in style with a one-off To Amy With Love special featuring artists past and present as well as unveiling Valentine 050: a lush 4-disc/60 track boxset celebrating the very best music we've put out to date (including a disc of remixes/covers and rarities and another entirely comprised of brand new/exclusive material)
In April 2012 we launched our new 'immersive' live music/DJ series 'TAGO>MAGO' to coincide with a new website and an ambitious list of new releases as we start our second decade...
