Makenna Hope is a singer-songwriter from St. Albans, West Virginia 🎵

Her latest single ‘Ghost of Us‘ launches today 🙌

It is about losing someone who has been a consistent presence in your life and feeling uncertain about who you are without them.

Makenna, through her commanding vocals, is able to move between confusion, frustration and sadness with beautiful dexterity. ❤️

Her emotionally resonant vocals, the haunting strings and unembellished production perfectly capture the sense of mourning for the past and uncertainty over how to begin again.

Patti Smith (born 1946) is a legendary American punk-rock artist who has been creating her distinctive blend of poetic rock 'n' roll for decades 🎸🎶 She is often referred to as the "punk poet laureate" ❤️

In 1967, she moved to New York and became active in the downtown Manhattan arts scene. Her performance-driven poetry readings soon took on a musical component and by 1973 she had formed her own band 🤟🎶

Her debut album Horses, released in 1975, was innovative and ground-breaking, combining punk rock music with spoken poetry 🎶🌟 Her legendary lyrics, mesmerising stage presence and rich voice won her a massive cult following 🙏
