Great Edinburgh launch last night for CD Boyland's 'Mephistopheles' in Typewronger Books. A brilliant sestina from nicky melville, feminist sci-fi laced with a robust Buddhist undercurrent from Rebecca Green, four sins (at least) interrogated by Katie Ailes, and then Faustian parables of 'great men' from the enigmatic CD himself. I was so absorbed that I completely forgot to take photos! The book is wide-ranging and one of the most engagingly imaginative you'll see this year in form, style and experimental verve.
