With a general interest in design and anything creative, I have spent most of my life exploring various artistic avenues, so it was only a matter of time before I explored the wonderful world of bear making. That was ten years ago and I have been steadily working on improving my designs and constantly finding new techniques to apply to my bears. With a love of traditional bears, I like my own desi
gns to incorporate a style of simplicity, innocence, soft lines, that all important enquiring "look" and have worked hard to achieve my own style. Wanting to take my passion to a higher level, I embarked on starting up my own little business and Barling Bears was born in April 2010. My bears have featured in many magazines and I have been very fortunate that some have written whole Artist Profiles. On two occasions, my bears were featured as the main "stars" on magazine covers, exciting times! Barling Bears range in sizes from around 8" up to about 26" and are made from highest quality mohair or alpaca. I am especially known for my large bears, which I like to refer to as my "armfuls of furry mischief". Thank you for reading my ramblings (if you've got this far!) and please contact me if you would like any further information. My website may be of interest and can be found at www.barlingbears.co.uk
