We don’t see that as a negative at Surge HQ 🤷♀️
Some IG users consume more Stories, some consume more posts. From our experience, the former are more inclined to interact in the DMs + build a rapport with you.
Just ‘cause they’re not hitting the ‘like’ button as soon as you upload DOESN’T mean they’re not watching, listening + waiting for the right moment to reach out.
Put it this way: I’m currently offering 1:1 VIP Intensive Days. I haven’t mentioned this ANYWHERE on my grid (‘til now 🤣), just on Stories.
All of the first month’s spots were filled within just TWO Story mentions, from selling directly in the DMs!
My point?
Don’t sleep on Stories as a powerful avenue to market your new programme, service, or launch.

When done right, social media can bring people together + create INCREDIBLE communities 🤩 (looking at all 4,700+ of you, you beautiful bunch!)
But let’s face it: there’s an ugly side too. From fake troll accounts to unsolicited comments, it can be a breeding ground for toxicity👎
The problem? It’s all too easy to contribute to the bad vibes. What might seem like ‘constructive criticism’ to one person could ruin someone else’s day.
When we’re behind a screen, we’re not able to display our body language or convey our tone. Comments are open to misinterpretation + can be taken out of context farrrr too easily.
So, what should we ask ourselves before we post?
👉 Would I feel comfortable if my comment was quoted in a national newspaper?
👉 Would I say this comment to the person’s face?
👉 Could this comment be misinterpreted? (i.e. is it sarcastic or jokey?)
👉 Is this comment constructive or just critical?
👉 Is this comment solving a problem?
👉 If this comment was about me or a loved one, how would I feel?
👉 Does this comment need to be shared in a public space, or should I contact the person privately?
👉 Is this comment tactful or plain rude?
If you can confidently answer all of the above: you’re good to go!
But if you’re not sure? It’s best to keep it to yourself, pumpkin.
