As much as you love what we do, I’m guessing that you’re also in business to pay the bills! And that means you need to attract clients and make money. But what to do if your offers are like tumbelweed? If you’re offers aren’t selling, this is for you.

1. Are you hard to find? 🔍
Ensure you have SEO on both your website and social media working well. Remember to ensure your contact forms on your website are working with clear calls to action. Plus, you have up to date links on your social media. Make it as easy as possible for people to contact you.

2. Is what you do clear to people who don’t know you? 🤔
This boils down to your messaging! You need to keep it concise and clear. A good rule of thumb is to consider 3 things: who you help, how you do it and the transformation your ideal client can expect.

Pro tip: ensure you include this messaging consistently across all your channels so your audience see it often.

3. You haven’t posed recently 🌀
If it’s been a year since your last post, potential clients looking on your social media will wonder if you’re still business. Your aim is to create content that connects. Speak to your audience’s needs in a way that resonates and builds trust. It’s also important to project trust and positivity with you audience. So, avoid complaining on socials about how busy or stressed you are. Venting is good but find a trusted source to do it privately.

2️⃣ Tell People You’re Available
Don’t assume they know—let your audience know you’ve got space for new clients! This could be an email or social post, but be sure to let your audience know how they can work with you right now.

3️⃣ Leverage Relationships for Referrals
Harness the power of your connections to get those valuable word-of-mouth referrals. Share testimonials with your audience to build trust be proud of how great you are and shout about it. As small business owners, balance is crucial for longevity. But it’s not always easy to find ⚖️ 👀.

What I have learnt in over 8 years of doing this, is that your business will evolve. And that’s a positive thing. Life changes, the economy, headspace all play their part.

Instagram have announced changes are coming to messenger, here’s everything you need to know.

Soon, you’ll only be able to message those who follow you unless they adjust a specific setting. While this might seem like a challenge, let’s view it as an opportunity to stay ahead.

Why is this beneficial? Changes like these encourage us to refine our strategies, making our social interactions even more meaningful. DM conversations are often crucial for successful social selling 🚀

This does mean that if you have been using chat automations like ManyChat you will need to make some minor tweaks to ensure your automations are working well for you.

✨ Don’t worry though, I’ve got you! This is what you need to do...

Most users won’t adjust their settings, but for those that do here is a simple 3-Step System to help you stay connected with your community:

1️⃣ CLICK DON’T CHANGE- Ensure this setting remains so non-followers can continue to message you.

2️⃣ INCLUDE A “FOLLOW” CTA- Prompt your audience to follow you to ensure they receive all your messages. For example;

“P.S. Instagram’s latest changes mean only my followers can receive messages, so if you don’t already follow me do that first, and then comment [YOUR KEYWORD GOES HERE] “

You’ve heard of FOMO, but do you have a fear of investing? (sorry no catchy acronym here 🤣)

Ladies, let’s talk about a common fear that many of us face as coaches, consultants, and online service providers: the fear of investing in our own businesses. It’s natural to feel apprehensive about spending money on support, but remember – no woman is an island. Just as it takes a village to raise a child, you need the right support to nurture and grow your business. 💪

The first time I invested in a coach, it pushed me to: conduct market research, clarify my offers and rewrite key website sales pages, plus outsource and onboard a team member. The second time, I have pivoted areas of my business, defined my ideal customer and developed and launched a new offer (so far). Accountability, and having an expert sounding board, works!

There’s a debate in marketing over using pain point or desire marketing. And I honestly think that both have their place.

The thing is, problem awareness messaging works. But the key is not to bash people over the head and make people feel bad, when they may already be in a place of overwhelm.

Instead, it’s about connection. Building a connection with your ideal client that demonstrates that you deeply understand where they are and what they’re struggling with. You may have lived it yourself.

Taking customers on a journey with your messaging leads to a place of empowerment, positivity, and inspiration. Isn’t that cool?

Here’s the thing 👇🏻👇🏻…

You didn’t start your business for it to dictate every aspect of your life.

You started to share your skills, talents, passions and make money!

Just this week everyone in our home came down with a nasty bug, it was like dominoes we came down with it one by one! Obviously, it was far from ideal, I had plans (hello virtual ).

It’s true: posting on Instagram and creating your website isn’t a marketing strategy!

Here’s why…

Recently, when talking to a client about her marketing plan, she shared that it was to get her website up and running and schedule some posts on Instagram.

Don’t get me wrong: they are both valuable and necessary tactics.

But, these are elements of a strategy, not a strategy itself.

Your marketing strategy is a holistic look at your business, your goals, and forms a comprehensive plan on how you will achieve them. It will include:

Your business & marketing goals

Identifying your target audience

Messaging to position your business/brand

Identifying the most effective channels

Testing, metrics and analysis

While websites and social media are valuable components, your marketing strategy tells how you will reach [and grow] your audience, engage with them and ultimately make conversions [sales] effectively.

I know you’ve got lots of goals and high hopes for this quarter, so I thought I’d share my tops tips on achieving your goals in business.

1️⃣ Plan Ahead

Set yourself up for success in Q2 by crafting a comprehensive plan. Define your objectives, break them down into manageable steps, and establish deadlines.

➡️ Especially important if the summer holidays loom large and will affect your working week. Start thinking now about how you will manage this.

2️⃣ Monitor and Analyse

Don't skip this part! Stay informed about your business's performance by closely monitoring all relevant statistics. This enables you to identify what's effective and where adjustments are needed.

➡️ I track certain metrics every Monday and it sets up my week - e.g. email subscribers, offers made, no. of calls, sales made - it can be really quick to do but shows you where to focus your mind and activity.

3️⃣ Seek Accountability and Support
