That’s a wrap!
This weekend has been a busy one as we went into production on our upcoming short ‘Torn’, an original story by screenwriter James Evans, made in association with NYAS - The National Youth Advocacy Service Cymru to support their “My Things Matter” Campaign, advocating for care experienced children to be shown more dignity and respect when they are being moved from one home to another.
‘Torn’ has been directed by the brilliant Hollie O’Leary and produced by TTL’s very own Andrew Creak, marking this as the first production of ours with a guest director.
The film stars Sky Howells in the lead role of Evie, with Juliet Rimell as foster carer Sue Williams, and Connor Charles as care worker Glen. The story explores how 80% of care experienced children have had their belongings moved from home to home in bin bags, resulting by in many personal items being damaged or worse, lost.
“Torn” will be premiering at the “My Things Matter” campaign event in Cardiff Bay next month.
