😜 Last push for membership/advert for the Newsletter, this year....
Do consider contributing next year.... creative articles as well as memories and 'what I am doing now'.... ....still hoping to get a cartoonist to do a strip.... would welcome amusing stories.... no matter how brief.... and photos and recordings of musical performances for the card
...and don't forget that the cyberboard entries get updated throughout the year...

If you are not a full member of the WGHSOGU you may wish to consider it. If you are like me you make many a 'one off' donation to charities at this time of year. You could treat membership as such a charitable donation.
I cannot offer you a brilliant deal or anything in return for paying membership but I can tell you that the OGU does not take any money from the membership funds for those of us that volunteer to help run it (my exotic holidays come from my savings!). The money goes towards postage and photocopying (which is why we prefer you to get e-mail communications from us) and to charitable donations within or associated with the school.
The actual paid-up membership only amounts to around a couple of hundred Old Girls, but the Facebook community is almost ten times that.... it would be good to be a large community so that we can have an even stronger voice within the school.
The only 'perk' of membership is the annual newsletter and the warm glow you feel inside when you pay your subscription.... £3 for a year is really cheap but will cost you nearly that to post it to us, so why not pay £35 as a one off life membership straight into the Bank and write it off as a charitable gift this Christmas? I will not need to write to you again then! or you could set up a £3 per year annual membership by standing order.
We have a new treasurer in Louise (so be kind - she is new to it - she did the Newsletter for years before I took it on, so she is already established as a dedicated worker for the OGU). She would love an e-mail from you confirming that you have sent the membership money money via Bank Transfer.... [email protected]
Join us and give via your Old School this Christmas.... set up a STO or a BGC and email Louise to tell her you have done so....

Any pecuniary transaction you make should be done via you own bank's secure banking website. The OGU will never telephone you and ask about Bank details and passwords ...
