Mute Archive Move - https://archive.metamute.org/

This June and July the Mute magazine archive is being moved from its current home in a shipping container a hundred miles north of London to a new smaller space in Berlin. Twenty years of magazine stock – covering fifty-one issues – from Mute’s pilot issue ‘Can Art Survive the Twentieth Century’ back in 1994 to ‘Slave to the Algorithm’ 2013. The archive contains complete sets of the magazine, all fifty-one issues. The move will involve trashing a lot of spare magazine copies – unless they find a home – so we'll be holding a discount sale!
If you're in London come a join us for an drink Friday 1st July, 6-9pm, at No Show Space - 39 Temple St E2 6QQ, London. You can also pick up archive copies at the space that evening.

Congrats to all the artists and artworkers who showed the Zabludowicz it's always possible to change your mind and change the world - for real, not as artwashing! Get in touch with BDZ if you'd like to deauthor or disaffiliate from Zabludowicz Trust and join the 600+ artworkers who boycott them and their pro-apartheid project. Together we are strong, together we will win. https://twitter.com/zabludowicz_bdz/status/1419628758303182848

“Today, 25 cultural workers announced their disaffiliation from Zabludowicz Art Projects, the Zabludowicz Art Trust and its affiliated platforms (incl. the Zabludowicz Collection, Daata Editions, Daata Fair and Times Square Space Gallery), as part of BDZ. (1/3)”

Mute Magazine supports the principled call from Palestinian artists to refuse to exhibit with or sell to Israeli and international arts institutions that are complicit in Israel's human rights abuses. As long as Israel maintains its apartheid regime, we refuse to artwash its brutal oppression against Palestinians

One concrete way you can show solidarity with Palestinian artists today is to sign the BDZ boycott of the Zabludowicz art trust (including the Zabludowicz Collection and Daata Editions). The boycott is an attempt to end the artwashing of Israeli state policies of racism and apartheid using UK art and educational institutions. Please read, sign, and share! https://boycottzabludowicz.wordpress.com

Solidarity from Mute to all Palestinians and their allies in the struggle to end apartheid in Israel and to free Palestine! If you work in the arts and participate in the UK, US or Finnish culture sector, you can help push back against Israel's attempt to use art to cover up racism and the destruction of Palestinian lives. Israel uses art as part of its soft power arsenal, presenting the conflict in Israel Palestine as a symmetrical dispute between evenly placed, equally responsible parties. This is a lie: as AOC recently emphasised, the reality is a massive imbalance of power and, one might add, ongoing genocidal assault on one population by the militarised elite of another. As one not insignificant part of this cultural soft power operation, the Zabludowicz Trust has been art-washing Israeli apartheid in the UK and beyond since the 1990s. By signing and sharing the BDZ Boycott of the Zabludowicz (more info below) you can help push back against apartheid. Don't let your artistic production and cultural or political activity be turned into Zionist propaganda. Check out the boycott and get in touch with the BDZ to find out how you can help shut down the shills for apartheid. https://boycottzabludowicz.wordpress.com
