What better way to start the holiday season than with Home Alone star, DEVIN RATRAY, joining us at BadCon Chattanooga!

He began his career as a child actor, making his film debut in Where Are the Children? (1986) before a main role as Gus Stafford on the CBS sitcom Heartland (1989). Ratray had his breakout with a supporting role as bully brother Buzz McCallister in the Christmas film Home Alone (1990), which he reprised in the sequels Home Alone 2: Lost in New York (1992) and Home Sweet Home Alone (2021).

Ratray later had a supporting role in the film Dennis the Menace (1993). In the 2000s, he had supporting roles in the films The Prince & Me (2004), The Winning Season (2009), and Surrogates (2009). During the 2010s, Ratray experienced a career resurgence, with starring roles in the films Elevator (2011) and Blue Ruin (2013), and supporting roles in the films Nebraska (2013), R.I.P.D. (2013), Masterminds (2016), and Hustlers (2019). He also had a main role as Nate Henry in the HBO miniseries Mosaic (2018) and recurred as Tinfoil Kevin on the Amazon Prime Video series The Tick (2017–2019).

In the 2020s, Ratray had a starring role in the comedy film Hollywood.Con (2021) and had a supporting role in the thriller film Kimi (2022).

Joining the lineup for BadCon Chattanooga is prolific voice actor, VIC MIGNOGNA!

Vic has been acting for stage and screen since he was 8 years old, but his anime career started over twenty years ago as Vega in Streetfighter II.

Since then Vic has been in more than four hundred animated series and video games, known for such roles as Edward Elric in Fullmetal Alchemist, Broly in Dragon Ball, Ikkaku in Bleach, Obito/Nagato in Naruto, Rohan in Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure, Matt in Digimon, Sabo in One Piece, Tamaki in Ouran High School Host Club, Qrow in RWBY, Zero in Vampire Knight, Death Scythe in Soul Eater, Fai in Tsubasa Chronicle, Keldeo in Pokemon, Dark in DN Angel, Kurz in Full Metal Panic, Yoshimori in Kekkaishi, Yukito in Air, Takanaga in Wallflower, Luciano in Code Geass, Virgil Walsh in Trinity Blood, Hikaru in Macross, Space Dandy, Tiger & Bunny, Digimon, Sword Art Online, Nura, La Grange and many many more. We are honoured to have the amazingly talented MAIARA WALSH join us for BadCon Chattanooga on Nov 29 and 30!

Maiara is an actress, writer, musician and director, best known for her role as Meena Paroom in Disney’s Cory in the House, Ana Solis on Desperate Housewives, Simone Sinclair in Switched at Birth and Kantmiss Evershot in The Starving Games.

Other roles include as Jenna Peréz in Good Trouble, Abigail in Reis, Callie Hannigan in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D, Sarah in the Vampire Diaries, Mandi Weatherly in Mean Girls 2 and Wichita in CBS’ Zombieland: The Series.

She has recently directed her first feature film, which she also co-wrote and stars in, set for release in 2025.

We’re thrilled to announce the addition of videogame voice actor MIKE PO***CK to the lineup for BadCon Chattanooga!

Mike is best known for being the voice of Doctor Eggman and Gerald Robotnik (among other characters) in the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise since 2003.

His other notable roles include the narrator, Raoul Contesta and Drayden in the Pokémon series, Adon Coborlwitz from Berserk, Meat from Ultimate Muscle, Langston Lickatoad from Viva Piñata, Suikyou from the Ikki Tousen series, Beast in the motion comic adaptation of Astonishing X-Men and multiple characters in Kirby: Right Back at Ya! He has also worked on various iterations of the Yu-Gi-Oh franchise, as well as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Joining BadCon is voice acting legend, D.C. Douglas!

D.C. has become a staple in the voiceover for gaming and anime worlds, having lent his voice to numerous animated projects including One Piece, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, My Hero Academia, FriendZSpace, Cells at Work, Naruto, Boruto, Hunter x Hunter, Marvel’s What If…? and so many more.

His game credits include a memorable portrayal of Albert Wesker in the Resident Evil franchise, Killer Klowns from Outer Space, Mass Effect, Star Wars, Tekken, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Borderlands 3, The Last of Us, Police Simulator: Patrol Officers and so many others.

His TV credits include stints in Days of our Lives, The Bold and the Beautiful, The Young and the Restless, Sharknado 2: The Second One, Passions and Star Trek: Enterprise!

Joining the lineup in Chattanooga for BadCon is legendary makeup and special effects artist, JEFF GOODWIN! He will even be bringing the ACTUAL prop used to kill David Arquette!

Jeff is an award-winning makeup and special effects artist with a career spanning more than 40 years.

He helped create many of the movies we grew up watching. His credits include the David Lynch-led cult classic Blue Velvet, Track 29, Rambo III, The Handmaid’s Tale, the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, the Last of the Mohicans, Super Mario Bros. and Empire Records.

Most recently, his work has been seen in Scream 2022, seasons 1&2 of Stephen King’s Mr Mercedes and The Black Phone.

Jeff’s makeup work has been included in Richard Corson’s Stage Makeup book, known as the Bible of Stage Makeup. Jeff has also authored two books, one called Blue Velvet Polaroids, chronicling his experience working on the project, featuring never-before-seen behind-the-scenes images straight from his personal collection.

Jeff has taught special effects makeup around the world but proudly calls Wilmington NC and New Jersey home.

🪵 ANNOUNCEMENT 🪵

Fresh off the release of the newest instalment, BadCon will feature the creator of one of horror’s biggest franchises, JEFFREY REDDICK.

At the age of 14, Reddick wrote a treatment for a prequel to the Wes Craven classic, A Nightmare on Elm Street, and sent it to distribution company, New Line Cinema. New Line Cinema returned the treatment unread as it did not accept unsolicited materials. Reddick wrote an aggressive letter to New Line Cinema founder, Robert “Bob” Shaye, which won him over. Shaye read the treatment and responded. This started a phone-and-letter relationship between Reddick, Shaye, and Shaye’s assistant, which lasted for years. While in the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York, Reddick was offered an internship by Bob Shaye and accepted. This internship turned into over a decade at the studio.

In the year 2000, New Line Cinema produced Reddick’s screenplay for the film, Final Destination. Whilst most notable for his work in the horror genre, Reddick has recently been involved in two animated projects for Netflix, including a spin-off of the classic Japanese comic book Usagi Yojimbo by Stan Sakai. He is currently working on an adaptation of the Young Adult book series, The Adventures of Young Captain Nemo and made his directorial debut with the mystery thriller Don’t Look Back in 2020.

Film credits include Final Destination, Final Destination 2, Tamara, A Life’s Work, Day of the Dead, 200 Hours, The Final Wish, The Call, Good Samaritan, Don’t Look Back, Dead Awake, Return to the Cabin by the Lake, Solo Respira, The Night Sitter, Sleep No More, Bodysnatch, 13 Slays Till X-Mas, Deathcember and Extremity.
