Cooza is one of the most delicate and insightful voices in contemporary folk, whose poetry and melodic sensitivity has garnered him in the multiple millions of streams on Spotify alone.
To say we are excited for this partnership would be the case even if it were not for the album we embark on this journey toward.
‘Getting Better At Knowing You’ is, in a word, exquisite.
Poignant. Devastating. Affirming. Unyielding. Unwavering. And palpably, at every single corner, brimming with overwhelming love.
It is impossible to mention this record without the context. But it is enough to say, that Cooza’s sister, wherever she is, is in awe of herself. As she sees herself reflected in the beauty she has inspired in this magnificent, once in a lifetime record.
There is, of course, sadness here. But that is far from the overwhelming emotion. Mostly, this album will leave you feeling grateful, to be on this side of the wall with those we love.
