If you're wondering why I've been a bit quiet lately (totally uncharacteristic, I know 😂!!!), it's because I've been a) getting on with clients' work and b) researching courses.
I am happy to announce that I have recently started studying a Search Engine Optimisation content course with the College of Media & Publishing, in order to formalise and consolidate the knowledge I’ve picked up over the years and refresh my skillset.
This will add real value to my work, especially when writing blogs, web copy etc. It will enable me to write more focused content for my clients that achieves high search engine rankings and, ultimately, increases traffic to their websites. This course is nationally recognised and, once completed, will give me a QLS Level 4 qualification in SEO Writing, along with an Accredited Diploma.
Once I’ve completed the course, the skills and techniques I’ve learnt will be automatically applied to any web copy I'm asked to write. It means that clients will save money by not having to pay for their content to be optimised separately.
I've already started the course and have received very positive feedback from my tutor so far, so will let you know when I have finished the course and can officially call myself a qualified SEO writer! In the meantime, I may bore you with the odd bit of information I pick up along the way, so please bear with me! 😉
