*Announcement*
Right, it's time to get started with some recording now. The original plan was to get this all set up early 2020 but the world had other plans, better late than never.
With the extra two years waiting I've had the chance to test and tweak my recording set up to get the best results I can and now it's ready to go to work. With that in mind I've put together the following list of services and rough price list for each. Naturally prices are set for standard band set up/standard length songs but this can be discussed and tailored to suit specific needs.
In addition to the usual recording services I also realise a great deal of musicians are now doing a lot of D.I.Y home recording which is undoubtedly a cheaper way of getting your music into the world and exactly how I got started myself, however it does tend to have common drawbacks such as difficulty recording drummers or creating live amp sounds or simply getting the mixing/mastering up to standard. For all of these I would be happy to discuss covering the elements of the recording/production process that a D.I.Y set up would fall sort on, the most common example of this would be recording live drums to take away the raw multi-tracks to be completed yourself.
Services and estimated costs
Acoustic singer/songwriter sessions mixed and mastered - £40 per song.
Standard band session (3-5 members) mixed and mastered - £90 per song
Live drum session (no post production) - £35 per song
Mixing self-recorded projects - £60 per song
Mastering - £20 per song
Session drummer (if you do not have a drummer but want real drums) - £50 per song
Session bass - £25
Plus much more I would be happy to discuss on an individual basis.
As mentioned these prices are estimates only due to the diversity of needs from one band to another. Additionally discounts can be offered for larger multi-song projects (EPs or albums) due to the ability to streamline the work from one song to the next.
Prices quoted on full recording sessions include all post production mixing and mastering however if you would prefer to do your own post production I'd be happy to reduce the cost to only cover the recording sessions alone.
