Huge Thanks to Emma Ward who won the Family Ticket 🎟 to watch the Rock 'n' Roll Panto at The Everyman Theatre on Hope Street in Liverpool, for this wonderful review of their evening 🎭

"Where do I start with my review?

First of all I love theatre and Panto! I have done several shows with all souls in Southport myself and you can’t beat a Panto! I also don’t think you can compare them as they are all different!

We went to the 2nd show of the run at the wonderful Everyman theatre! What a wonderful place where you feel part of the Panto as every seat has a good view. No curtains an open stage but I loved it.

The set looked fabulous and was visually exciting through the Panto. It was a small cast but an extremely talented one! I am used to a full stage of chorus with loads of dancing. Honestly the vocals were fabulous and I couldn’t believe that most of the cast were the band as well. Wow! By the end of Jan they will have lots of muscles in there legs running up and down those stairs!

The music was brilliant a great choice of familiar songs. The comic timing was amazing and to me that really makes a panto.

The cast worked so well together a great team effort. The script was really funny the whole performance came together well. Every person played their part in fabulous costumes! The dame was excellent and I loved the queens vocals and stage presence.

There was a technical hitch and things came to a stop (safety first!) the cast did well entertaining us with jokes and playing Beatles songs.

It was only the 2nd show and there were a few lost lines which I am sure after a few runs iron them out. In Panto you can get away with making this funny.

Overall 9.5/10!

I will definitely go again to the rock and roll Panto! If you can go and watch it! Great for all of the family 😊"

👋🏼 The Face Behind the Account!

Hello Everyone! I thought it would be interesting to get to know a bit more about the face behind the account, especially if you've been kind enough to like our Off The Couch Adventures page, but might not know much about me 🥰

So here goes...allow me to introduce myself!

My name is Aisha (pronounced eye-sha) and we're approaching our 7th Anniversary of our Off The Couch Adventures concept (a week today in fact!).

The idea was born out of the desire to go seek out new adventures and encourage others to literally get 'off the couch'

My youngest, Isaac used to be the face behind the idea but he's way too cool for school now!

Our Off The Couch Adventures concept lay dormant during Lockdown but I'm a firm believer that things happen for a reason!

I had a sideline business that I stumbled into during that first Lockdown in May 2020 and stepping foot info the unknown has quite literally, changed my life!

I am 6 months into a life changing decision of applying for Voluntary Redundancy after a 26yr career at Smedley Hydro!

I am the least likely person to be showcasing and talking about Skincare and Body Care 🤦🏽‍♀️

My Tropic Adventure is world's away from what used to be my day job, but it's my unexpected happy place, so much so, I am lucky enough to class Tropic as my main focus now!

Skincare used to frighten me. The thought of asking a beauty consultant in a department store anything about Skincare still fills me with dread!

My approach to my Tropic Adventure means I connect with those people who are probably just as frightened about asking a 'daft' question as I am! And that's why it works!

I'm not an expert. I don't pretend to know it all. But I will do my best to find out - and with the difference Tropic has made to my skin, I'm happy to shout it from the rooftops!

Is my skin perfect 🤔 Absolutely not! Have I now got skin confidence? Absolutely 💯 Yes!! Have my Tropic Group Family noticed a difference in their skin since using Tropic? They most certainly have 🙏🏽

OK! So here's a few things you might not know about me 🥰

🌈 I used to work Full Time for the NHS but now class Tropic as my main focus
🥰 I'm blessed to be able to spend time sourcing competitions so my Off The Couch Adventures Family have the chance to win Adventure opportunities.
🧖🏽‍♀️ I've recently completed my 2nd Facial Training course and use these skills to run Skincare Workshops (let me know if you'd like more information!)
✈️ I'm planning to embrace travelling a lot more! I need to catch up with my boys!
🤩 I'm proud to be in the 50's club
😬 I'm a stickler for people saying my name correctly
😭 I was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis when I was 19yrs old
🤗 By aged 21 I'd had the whole of my large bowel removed
💜 I now live a very positive life with my ileostomy
🥳 My favourite pass time is spending time with my family (my hubby, two boys and my Border Collie, Tess 🐾) as well as my siblings
♏️ I'm not into star signs but I LOVE being a Scorpio! (and find I have a real connection with fellow Scorpios!)
💗 I love to dye my hair funky colours and I adore it when strangers approach me to tell me they love my hair! Young and old alike!
😴 My hubby wonders if I ever sleep because I burn the candles at both ends!

That's all I can think of but I'd absolutely LOVE to know if we have anything in common 🤩 Apart from a LOVE for all things Off The Couch Adventures (and Tropic!) of course 😁
