Widelux rolls - Rapa Nui (pt3) - full image on main profile

After a few months of bouncing around the globe with undeveloped 35mm film in my bag I finally got around to having the rolls from last years final shoot of the year to Rapa Nui developed.

All these photos were shot on a Widelux F8 camera which is unique in that it captures full 35mm film panoramic images.
With the huge open spaces and unique lines of Moai figures scattered around Rapa Nui, this island has great panoramic potential.

Happy New Year 2024 (pt3) - full image on main profile

First animal interaction of 2024 taking place within moments of leaving the cold water surf of Cornwall, UK. This little Robin landed right next to me while I warmed up and watched the waves after a traditional New Year’s Day sunrise surf session.

Superstitious or not, there is no denying these tiny birds have been a symbol of good luck, happiness and rebirth for hundreds of years. Some myths even say robins are the messengers for lost, loved ones and I gotta say, my mind does drift to people no longer in my life whenever I see one.

So I’m taking this as a sign of good things to come in 2024.

Happy New Year to you all and may the good luck vibes of this little guy spread to everyone for the days, weeks, months and year ahead!
