Jordon The Ego - My Little Bug 🎵

“So, we are going to put his face on an egg…smash a cake into the lens…shove his head into a microwave…oh and have a giant rubber duck!”

A massive labour of love project which took months to shoot and one of the most ‘high concept’ shoots that I’ve been involved in so far. Each scene offered its own technical challenge or visual theme which were really fun to tackle and made this one of the most creatively satisfying projects that I’ve been involved in so far.

Finally decided to take a break from work (for the first time since going freelance four years ago) and took a little trip to Iceland with to take on the Laugavegur Trail!⁣
⁣
Walked 54km in four days through some of the most diverse landscapes I have ever seen; snowy and colourful mountains, black sandy deserts, hot springs, forests and we had to ford a few rivers too. We even saw the Northern Lights, twice! It was a challenge as I've never done a multi-day hike before, but it was 100% worth it and definitely goes down as one my most memorable trips!⁣

BTS: All Roads Lead To Home ()⁣⁣

One project that was of particular importance this year and marked a milestone in my young career was my first indie feature film as a cinematographer - All Roads Lead To Home. We have managed to shoot 75% of the film so far, despite struggles with COVID and lockdowns, and will be filming the final set pieces in spring next year. It has been a great learning experience working with a small, but lovely cast and crew, and will hopefully be the first feature of many!⁣⁣
