Stills from a series of interviews and conversations with Black mothers who have children with special educational needs.
I had the opportunity to learn first-hand about the beautiful — and often challenging — daily experiences faced by a range of Black mothers raising children with special educational needs (SEN). Thank you Marsha of for the opportunity
Backstory:
As a one-man production team re-entering the market and offering my services as a videographer, this project gave me valuable experience — especially in knowing the importance of arriving on set with just the right amount of gear. Trust me, that’s a crucial move.
However, towards the end of the interviews, my camera began to overheat. While the R6 is an amazing photography camera, it falls short when filming interviews that run beyond 60 minutes.
⚡️ Shot on a R6 | 16–35mm II L-series lens and edited in Premiere Pro
🔈 Sound recorded directly into Logic Pro
💡 Two-light setup using a pair of 200-watt lights
Thank you for support on the edit
