This is something I've dreamed about for quite a while and it's finally happened... I've been on Etsy for over 3 years but have never been fond of it, so it made sense to go solo (with Shopify)

I signed up last week and within a day I had a new domain name linked to the shop, 9 products listed and the front page customised to my branding...

Since then I've set up 3 print-on-demand integrations, meaning that I can sell my journals & planners (including my 2024 UnPlanNeR) as well as custom printed merchandise.

I have to say it's been easier than anticipated - Shopify really is the bee's knees 😄

I've had an idea (don't laugh) and here's the lowdown... 💡🖥
I'm planning a series of mini-classes / demonstrations to help anyone who wants to be more adventurous with their visual content, and is keen to get started producing digital products.
The classes would cover both static design and video - no complex software required. Canva and / or PowerPoint are perfect.

This is the answer to my prayers! 🙏

Proud to be a PowerPoint geek 🤓

This is the type of video I regularly create - based around images and text.

I don't particularly like being in front of a camera, so anything to take away that particular aspect of video creation is fine by me!

The basic video was designed in PowerPoint, then I added the "ripped paper" frame, and the music, in Canva.

ANYONE can do this - all you need is PowerPoint (is it currently gathering dust in the depths of your PC??) - and a free Canva account if you want to add the frame or other bells & whistles.

I thought it'd be fun to tweak this PowerPoint template a bit further... (the original is available as a free download - see my earlier post for details)

I changed the overlay shapes & colours, made a few edits to animations and added a transition to the final slide.

Oh and I changed the music track.

(I created all the mockup images too)

So the video is now a promotion for my Amazon books 😍

The best thing about this video format is that it can easily be adapted to suit any business - because all that's needed are images and text (and a pinch of my design expertise) 🤩
