Our groups are fun and vibrant, with time for toddlers to do lots of playing. Snacks and drinks are available throughout the session for carers and children.

Green Lane Toddler Group:
Wednesday 10.00-11.30
Emmanuel Community Church, 55 Green Lane, Heaton Moor

(Sadly this group is at capacity at the moment, if you'd like to be added to the waiting list message on here or email [email protected]) We have a time of free play with lots of toys to choose from - trains, dolls, blocks, ride-ons, a climbing frame, books, a shop area, dressing up. We

also have a quieter lounge where there is a different craft every week to do - painting, sticking, decorating cakes, making cards. Towards the end of the session we have an altogether time where we have a story together, sing songs and play musical instruments. Toddler group costs £1.50 per session. We currently have a waiting list for toddler group so if you would like to be added to this then please get in touch. Babies are welcome at toddler group but we do run a separate group called 'Just Begun' on Tuesday afternoons that is for pre-moving babies which is much quieter and relaxed. If you are interested in joining this group instead please get in touch. Each month on a Saturday morning (usually the second Saturday of the month) we hold a 'Who let the Dads out' session for Dads, Grandads and toddlers. It's similar to a Wednesday morning but includes bacon butties and newspapers to keep the men happy! Contact us for more info. Toddler group also run other groups, usually on Friday mornings, such as a Parenting Skills course, Life Explored course and Christianity Explored. These will be announced at toddler group but please get in touch if you are interested in taking part.

We're really looking forward to running Parentalk on Friday mornings at Houldsworth Mill starting on the 5th Nov. Parents can enjoy toast and a cuppa while they chat about the joys and challenges of raising kids. It's 9.30-11 with a creche for the children.

Toddlers story time Wed 25th March

Join Katie and Rover to hear a story about God; the good shepherd, and do some singing!

We're starting a LIFE EXPLORED course on Friday mornings from 1st March until 5th April. We've run this for the last couple of years and have had lots of great feedback. It really gets you thinking about the big questions in life - what gives you happiness, can we have fulfilment in life, is God good... "From the forests of Japan to the front yards of suburbia, we're taken on a journey through the lives of people from around the world and beyond as they battle with disappointment, loss and tragedy in their search for happiness and belonging…" The Toddlers & Just Begun team will be running a creche so your little ones will be happy and entertained while you take part in the course. The whole course is free to attend. If you have any questions or are interested then send us a message or speak to one of the team next week 😊.

A little about our groups...

Green Lane Toddler Group and Just Begun are run by Emmanuel Community Church. Just Begun is a quiet and relaxed group for pre-moving babies with lots of sensory toys, a thought for the day, some songs and of course coffee and cake to keep new mums going! Toddler Group is a fun and vibrant group with time for toddlers to do lots of running round and playing. We have a time of free play with lots of toys to choose from - trains, dolls, blocks, ride-ons, a climbing frame, books and role play. We also have a quieter lounge where there is a different craft every week to do - painting, sticking, decorating cakes and making cards. Towards the end of the session we have a time altogether where we have a Bible story, sing songs and play musical instruments. Just Begun and Toddler Group cost £1.50 per session.

We currently have a waiting list for Toddler Group so if you would like to be added to this please get in touch. There is no waiting list for Just Begun so please just come along.
