We would just like to pass on our condolences to the friends and family of Steve Whitney who has sadly passed away.
Steve's knowledge of the Non-League game and his passion for bringing through the next generation of footballers was second none.
He was part of our editorial team back in the early 90's, both on the Directory and Team Talk magazine as well as putting together his Non-League Players book - a real passion of his.
Living in Kettering, Steve would stay with us during the week before returning home at the weekends. We spent many an evening up at the White Hart Pub talking football - they are night's I will never forget.
Thank you Steve, you will be missed, RIP my friend. MW
