Good morning..this is a late entry for this Throwback Thursday as a now finished piece, initially started on Sunday night the night before P Funk President George Clinton's 83rd earthday. Played at his 83rd earthay celebration on Monday 22nd July as support DJ for the live band who performed at 229 in Great Portland Street, which was well attended and enjoyed by all including Eddie Piller (nice to see you sir).
Spinning 90 minutes of P Funk reminded me of how genius George Clinton is with his various te****le projects and band of Funkadelic musicians So in between being 'Knee Deep' in transcribing plenty of the forthcoming magazine editorial, I manged to put pencil to paper and complete some 'Up For The Down Stroke's of this GC drawing. Gonna play a couple of P Funk bad boys on my show on London Music Radio for the lunchtime lockin 1pm-4pm so tune in 'Party People' "we're gonna have a good time"!!

Woke up this morning being acutely aware that round about now this time of the month is a time to remember the birth 15th July and the passing 10th July 2020 of my one time 5 years resident 'Twice As Nice' partner in DJ rhyme Steve 'Smooth' Sutherland. So my spider senses were 100% on point as today is Steve's bornday, so I went through my art archives and found this Blue Peter drawing I did almost 2 years ago earlier, from a very cool image that encapsulated Steve as I remember him. Many people for different reasons will have fond memories of him and to those closer to him than others, Steve can feel the love and breaking into that big famous smile you know and love. An educated multi faceted souljah survivor, who made a huge contribution to the music industry world wide, and a huge personality. Blessings on a heavenly one Double SS..Double FF đź

They reached the 2024 Euro finals via Mr âBig up & puff up ya chestâ Ollie Watkins who splashed some Jamaican Windrush heritage Jerk sauce on the lesser successful Dutch courage..& also onto the silenced tongues of the Neanderthal knuckle dragging racist patriots tongues , (âAv some of that hot yard man pepperâ đ¤Łđ¤ŁđŻđ˛), âOllie Ollie Ollie oi oi oiâyouâre now one of the UKâs national treasured Kleeer âWinnersâ.
