Vegan Views magazine Vegan Views was a UK-based magazine which ran for 127 issues from 1975-2013, see our website.

Our emphasis was on debating issues amongst vegans and vegan sympathisers (rather than simply presenting the case for veganism), and readers were encouraged to send us views and news, and thought-provoking articles.

"Donald Watson, one of the founders of the Vegan Society, who has been credited with jointly coining the word 'vegan', was a conscientious objector during World War II.

"In recent years, enterprising Black restaurateurs have brought new vitality to the city’s dining scene [Oakland USA], creating animal-free cuisine infused with the flavors of Ethiopia, Puerto Rico, Mexico and soul food. Along the way, they’re transforming the idea of what vegan cuisine can be."
