As soon as I heard about the new Born Currified rice bowl by @seoulbornnorwich I just had to try it. Their fried chicken goes beautifully with that curry sauce, loved it! @iyasaka_cafe opened this week on Magdalen Street in Norwich so I went along to try their Karaage chicken don (Ā£13.88). Beautifully cooked Karaage chicken served over rice w/ potato salad and salad. Last weekend I called by @thestanleynr3 to check out @fuegonorwich. They were serving their brunch menu and Chilaquiles Verde was calling my name so I ordered it. Blue corn totopos tossed in hot sauce w/ pickled onions, coriander crema and pecorino. (Ā£9.50) Topped off beautifully with a fried egg. This morning we called by Salhouse Farm Shop & Cafe for breakfast before heading out to explore nearby Ranworth. The perfect spot to enjoy a cappuccino with beautiful views across the countryside. I ordered the Big Barn breakfast which set me up for the day nicely. My wife ordered their Greenhouse breakfast and declared their vegan sausages the best sheās ever eaten. Over the weekend we discovered @thelionsdennorwich, a cosy outdoor venue overlooking the river Wensum, just a short walk away from Norwich Cathedral. Thereās blankets and fire pits to keep you warm underneath the canopy. We enjoyed a great cappuccino overlooking the river and ordered some delicious tomato and basil soup with a cheese toastie. They also offer saunas and dunk tanks on site too. My go to is Born Orange - A generous serving of fried chicken in an aromatic soy sauce with hints of orange and ginger. My food highlight of Paris had to be a visit to @melt_slow_smoked_barbecue in Oberkampf. Clearly a popular choice as they were very busy when I called by so I decided to grab a take away which I enjoyed in Jardin May-Picqueray, just around the corner. I ordered BBQ spare ribs, brisket and smash potatoes which was served with pickles. There was a lot of food for ā¬37 and that brisket blew my mind, so juicy and tender! Definitely the best spare ribs Iāve ever had the pleasure of eating too, beautifully cooked and so much meat on those bones. So glad I ordered those smash potatoes as well, served with chives and a garlic sauce. Such an impressive meal! I checked out @galbar_officiel on my recent trip to Paris as Iād heard they serve up some impressive cone shaped Galettes and CrĆŖpes. Iām so glad I did as they look and taste incredible!
