🚨A303 Sparkford: weekend road closure, please plan ahead🔔

🦺Next week we’ll be moving into the next phase of construction on the scheme where we’ll be moving traffic onto a section of the newly built A303 carriageway.

🚧To allow this change to happen, we need to close the road to change the traffic management layout, enabling our teams to safely continue building the eastbound carriageway.

📅The A303 between Sparkford and Ilchester will be closed from 9pm on Friday 19 April until 6am on Monday 22 April.
Access for residents, businesses and emergency vehicles will remain throughout.

🗺Clearly signed diversion routes will be in place so you’ll still be able to get to where you need to go, but we recommend you plan ahead and allow extra time for journeys.

The A358 has now re-opened following urgent repairs 🟢

A 60m stretch in both directions needed emergency resurfacing after a collision yesterday afternoon caused a major diesel spill.

Our Highways Team have been busy today 💪 managing the road closure and resurfacing as quickly as possible, to keep the disruption to a minimum.
