Can I survive alone in the wilderness? 😳

I recently spent 5 days in the remote US wilderness in order to find out if I could survive out here alone.
It was easily the hardest thing I’ve ever done, both physically and mentally..

Not only was I learning to survive off the land with zero experience, but I had the added challenge of having to hike 30+ miles through thick, rugged wilderness in order to make my escape - a prearranged pickup by plane at an abandoned airstrip. If I didn’t make it in time, I’d miss the plane.

And just to make it a little more challenging, I was doing this all with the very real threat of grizzly bears, wolves and an insane heatwave.

I am feeling very excited and grateful to be able to share this experience with you guys in today’s video 🎥👀

First flight with a newborn ✈️👶.. let’s see how this goes! 🙈

We have been a combo of hugely excited whilst also being incredibly apprehensive about this day.. worried about being “those” people with their baby crying for the entire flight 😬

After receiving Noah’s first passport we wanted to celebrate with a trip outside of the UK.. any guesses where we decided to go? 🌎

We officially have a new team member! 😍

We are delighted to announce the birth of our beautiful baby boy, Noah Skye Collins, who joined us last week.

Although the birth didn’t exactly go to plan (that’s a story for another time), everyone is doing great and we have been enjoying every second of this precious time.
We are, of course, very sleep deprived but it hasn’t stopped this being the best week of our lives and we are unbelievably excited for our future trips together as a family! 🌎💛

Realistically, we are going to be a little inconsistent with the YouTube uploads for the next couple of months while we find our feet.. but there will be a new video out later today from our last adventure before the baby came (and before burnout hit).

What an absolute dream this place was 🥰

We recently visited one of the most remote, rugged, untouched places we’ve ever been to.. Isle Royale NP 🌿

We have recently started a challenge to visit ALL of the 63 US National Parks.. and what an absolute corker to be starting with! 🤩

What incredible news to wake up to… 🤯

We pinch ourselves daily about how lucky we are to be able to do what we love week in and week out.. but this week, our minds are blown even more than usual because we just hit 250k subs on YouTube you guys!!! 🎉 WHAT IS GOING ON?!? 😂💛

We don’t often talk about the work side of the channel.. but we do work very hard to keep the content flowing.. so to hit this incredible milestone feels SO GOOD! 🥳

But there is absolutely NO WAY we could have or would have continued to create weekly travel videos over the years if we didn’t have such an incredible community of humans out there tuning in to watch 🥰 we feel so incredibly grateful for you guys.. thank you so much for being there! 🙏💛

What an insane milestone!
When we scroll back through our old photos and videos and think back to our younger selves.. we can’t help but feel like proud parents. Those kids didn’t have a clue what they were doing.. but they just kept at it 😅

Now, thanks to their persistence, here we are.. celebrating 200,000 subscribers on YouTube 🎉

This channel means everything to us. It has helped us to grow as people, push ourselves to do more, see more, experience more.. we would be very different people if it weren’t for this platform. Happy birthday to my favourite person in the world! 🐐🎉🎁

My little van builder has been privileged to have had 34 years on this planet and hopefully many more. 🚐💪

Our birthdays are 12 days apart so this starts the small window where I can tease her for her taste in toy boys. 👩‍👦🐣

I count my lucky stars every day that we met in Thailand 🇹🇭 almost 10 years ago and created this life together. We are currently in Budapest 🇭🇺, ditching the van for for a couple of days to celebrate. Does any one have any recommendations?

Coming from the south of the UK, this is not something we ever expected to have to deal with.. especially when going full time in our tiny camper van! 😂

However, this is the reality of winter vanlife in the Austrian Alps with 3 days of heavy snowfall 🇦🇹
