Living Luton Magazine CIC Living Luton Magazine is a community based project that aims to keep the people of Luton up to date with activities, events and reviews. Starting July 2016

The Living Luton Magazine CIC is a community project that aims to keep the people of Luton up to date with local activities, upcoming events and truthful reviews. The Magazine was first established in 2010 with a readership of 7000 and a total of six issues. We are striving to re-establish this project with an improved structure, development programs for our writers, as well as a new style of ex**

***on. The monthly issues will include eight different sections which vary from health, arts and local events. In all the sections we endeavour to celebrate the positive activities taking place within our town, and highlight the unique facilities at our doorstep. This means that there is something of interest for everyone- yes EVERY ONE- in Luton! The magazine is a mass communication platform where we provide an equal opportunity of written exposure for people from all walks of life. Our core team is made up of approachable individuals and we welcome unique topics of discussion. Our aim is to highlight the achievements of those individuals whose hard work goes unnoticed, and hold accountable those who fail to provide a contractual service. We also offer a tailor-made development program to our writers. So whilst working with us, they are able to acquire a range of skills, experience and cultivate expertise which will be essential requirements for future employers. We work alongside them to facilitate their career goals by conducting regular progress reviews. This is for the people of Luton… by the people of Luton. Live Luton. Love Luton.

Videos

The first Luton mela took place in August 2000. Mela itself means 'festival’ and beautifully describes an exciting summer outdoor event with an emphasis on cultural and artistic programme. In recent years members of the public are given a chance to showcase their talent at the Mela. This happens through the Luton Mela Talent Quest and this years grand finalist is Rupali- a sensational self-taught dancer. We've made a short video from the final round of the Talent Quest.
