A 17-year-old boy and a 16-year-old boy were arrested and charged with a number of offences by Redcar CID after reports a vehicle was stolen from Eggleston Road, Redcar, on Wednesday 5th July.

The 17-year-old was charged with burglary, theft of motor vehicle, dangerous driving, driving whilst disqualified and no insurance while the 16-year old-was charged with burglary and theft of motor vehicle.

They appeared in court and were bailed with conditions.

Detectives appeal after serious assault, Redcar.

Officers from Redcar CID are appealing for information from witnesses - as well as any mobile phone/dashcam or CCTV footage - after a man sustained serious injuries when he was assaulted in the early hours of today (Sunday 4th June).

The 32-year-old man was near The Works on Redcar High Street at approximately 2am when he was attacked.

He suffered a serious head injury and was taken by ambulance to hospital where he remains as an inpatient.

The suspect is described as male, of slim build with short dark hair and wearing dark bottoms, a light-coloured jacket and dark trainers with a light sole.

Anyone with information/footage is asked to contact Redcar CID on the 101 number, quoting ref 107455.

On the 22nd May 2023 PC Sweeney and PC Gressmann from Redcar Neighbourhood Policing Team attended Greenhow Walk to carry out dedicated foot patrols and completed a problem solving survey with the residents.

Residents fully engaged with officers explaining what the main issues in the area are by taking part in the survey informing officers what the main issues currently are in the area which can help them problem solve and manage resources to reduce them in the future.

I just want to let you know Redcar Womens Cancer Support Group. We are a friendly bunch of local ladies who have been affected by cancer, we offer each other emotional support over a cuppa and are a resource for information if you need it and to know you are not alone.
We meet every last Thursday of the month at Coatham Memorial Hall 2-4pm and our next meeting is this Thursday.
