The Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) presents the #LagingHandaPH Public Briefing, an inter-agency effort of the PCOO that brings up-to-date and detailed information about the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic in the country.
The program embraces a whole-of-nation approach wherein guest resource persons answer questions on pressing issues, tackle matters of national concern and provide updates on the current public health crisis. They also discuss the efforts being undertaken by the government to mitigate the effects of COVID-19, including the rollout of the vaccination program throughout the Philippines.

Sara Zimmerman Duterte takes her oath of office as the 15th Vice President of the Republic of the Philippines in a ceremony at the San Pedro Square in Davao City on Father’s Day, 19 June 2022.
The historic ceremony, administered by Supreme Court Associate Justice Ramon Paul Hernando, is attended by no less than President Rodrigo Roa Duterte, members of the First Family, several public officials, personalities and the public who supported the Vice President since the ‘Mahalin Natin ang Pilipinas Ride’ which allowed her to traverse 46,000 kilometers across the country and visit 34 provinces with 70 official stopovers.
Her journey around the Philippine archipelago with her big bike allowed her to interact with Filipinos in local communities such as the indigenous people (IP), children, the elderly, public market vendors and other ordinary citizens who openly expressed their support for her Vice Presidential bid.
The outgoing Davao City Mayor won by a majority vote in the May 2022 National and Local Elections.

The Balik Probinsya, Bagong Pag-asa Program dispatched beneficiaries to the provinces of Misamis Oriental, Agusan del Sur, Lanao del Norte and Bukidnon at the BP2 Depot in Agham Road, Quezon City on May 30-31, 2022.
Institutionalized by virtue of Executive Order (EO) No. 114, series of 2020, the Balik Probinsya, Bagong Pag-asa Program is an initiative of the national government created to address the congestion in Metro Manila’s urban areas by encouraging the public, especially those in informal settlements, to return to their home provinces and guide them throughout this transition by providing additional support and incentives on transportation, livelihood, family needs, subsistence, education, housing and others.
The beneficiaries of this event were directed to the program’s usual dispatch procedures prior to their departure.
