Here at Burning Eye Books we think of ourselves an an upstart indie publishing co. focusing primarily on Performance Poetry and Indie fiction. What does that mean... it means we make it up as we go along. We aim to offer our writers the best of both worlds. We are a kooky hybrid combining some of the traits of independent (self) publication and trade publishing. We are collaborative and work with
our authors on all aspects of the end product be it print or digital. We work with Inpress and Central books for the book trade. Did you hear the one about Performance Poetry not transferring to the page. We think this is untrue and we intend to prove it! We have a mantra here that says we want to become the Bloodaxe of Performance Poetry. Let this be our character note.
