Staffordshire mums launch new luxury FREE magazine for savvy 21st century women
Mama Life Magazine:
TWO Staffordshire mums are launching the region’s first free luxury parenting and lifestyle magazine featuring everything that savvy 21st century mothers want and need to know. Mama Life Magazine has been created by mum-of-three Natasha Inan, from Lichfield, and mum-of-two Meral Mehmet, from Burton
-upon-Trent, who felt there was a gap in the market for a magazine discussing the real issues facing mums in their 30s, 40s and 50s. Mama Life will also be packed with fashion and beauty tips and articles on everything from everyday life to health, food, money, products, lifestyle and much more – all with a touch of luxury. The first edition will be launched in style at a special event taking place at Swinfen Hall near Lichfield on Friday, February 10, before 12,000 free copies are distributed throughout Tamworth, Lichfield, Burton and surrounding areas. More than 100 invited guests will join the celebrations at Swinfen Hall, including Emmerdale star Bhasker Patel, who plays Rishi Sharma, Britain’s Got Talent finalists Peter and Shannon Parker, who wowed judges in last year’s contest with their classical dance performance, best-selling author Sharon Sant, and well-known painter John Waterhouse who will be exclusively unveiling his latest work of art. Although this is Natasha and Meral’s first media project - Natasha works in the catering industry and Meral has her own print and design company, Print 365 – the pair have worked tirelessly over the past six months to develop the concept and bring their first jam-packed edition to print. Natasha and Meral said: “As close friends, we would discuss the issues that 21st century women face as they get older, such as weight, dieting and exercise, what products to use, the best hair colours and cuts, issues we have with children at primary school and going through to high school, the struggles of juggling work and childcare, or being a stay-at-home mum and so on. There seemed to be plenty out there for mums with babies, but nothing for parents of older children.
“At the same time, we wanted the magazine to have the feeling of luxury, so it’s a high quality glossy magazine and we have brought several professionals on board.
“Mama Life Magazine is for the modern mum who enjoys life and motherhood; focusing on the real issues they want to read about.”
Mama Life Magazine will be available every other month from a variety of locations such as hair and beauty salons, boutiques, GP and dental surgeries and health spas, Sainsburys Tamworth, Burton, Sutton Mere Green and Tesco Lichfield, plus door to door distribution. Copies can also be viewed online at www.mamalifemagazine.co.uk.
