BURNSY IS BACK!

107FM are delighted to announce that multi-award winning broadcaster, and local radio legend David Burns is to join Hull and East Yorkshire's biggest, and most popular volunteer led radio station.
From early November, Burnsy will host a new show on a Monday evening "Burnsy's Eclectic Circus" 8-10pm, and will also fill in on other shows from time to time.

Pete Mills, Programme director of 107FM said,

"We are thrilled to get Burnsy on board with 107FM, he has always been a man of the people, and a man for the people.
He believes in the ethos of this station, and what we are bringing to the communities we serve.
He believes, like we do, in radio that delivers to all, without the barriers, for those who are digitally disenfranchised, or can’t afford it, or for those who don’t understand ’digital’ , and for those who just want a friendly accessible voice to bring entertainment and friendship to them.

In short, Radio for the people.
Burnsy brings a huge wealth of experience and radio craft to the station and will be an example to our less experienced presenters.

On joining 107FM, Burnsy added,

I'm dead chuffed to be given the chance by 107FM.
It's not like any show I've done before, as it's essentially a music show.
It's just a bloke blowing the metaphorical dust of his metaphorical record collection.
Basically, I'm another barsteward son of Peel and Partridge!.

Do listen and join in, you may find yourself tapping a toe or two!"

P.s. Burnsy may not be the last to join us at 107FM.... watch this space 😉

The West Hull Villages Scarecrow Hunt is back for the 4th time.
We cover all areas of Anlaby, Willerby, Kirkella and some surrounding areas of West Hull. The aim of the hunt is primarily to give the community some free fun and something positive to focus on (we all need that after the last couple of years). The feedback from the last hunts has been amazing! The hunt will run from Saturday 14th May until Sunday 22nd May. Many local businesses have been involved making scarecrows, printing maps again and handing them out. The uniqueness of our hunt is that it is all FREE. Free for families and businesses to enter a scarecrow and also free to download and print the map and tick sheets. It is not a competition; it’s about taking part and being part of the community.

Happy Mothers Day ❤️
"We are born of love; Love is our mother." "When you look into your mother's eyes, you know that is the purest love you can find on this earth." "A mother is she who can take the place of all others but whose place no one else can take." "Life doesn't come with a manual, it comes with a mother."
