Excited to be back at Eastwell Manor this weekend

We are excited to be back at the elegant Eastwell Manor wedding fair this Sunday. A short hop from Ashford in the beautiful Garden of England, this manor house is one of our regular venues and we’ve even been featured on TV here!

Introducing the speeches needn't be a dull part of the day. Today I had five speeches to introduce each with their own intro song to liven the mood. With my speakers setup on the stage I used the picket fence booth out front (massive thanks to Paul Forsyth - Wedding DJ & Event Host for the loan of this fantastic bit of kit) that allowed me to control the music and mics.

And now it's time to entertain the guests during their meal ahead of the evening party.

A busy day at the wonderful Solton Manor for an all day wedding. I provided the music for the ceremony, drinks reception, wedding breakfast and the evening party. The couple also opted for garden games that were popular during the drinks reception and then through the evening.

Had a blast last weekend working with Derek from ENCADE for Kerry & Adam's wedding. They took over the decks for an epic DJ battle that was enjoyed by all, can't wait to see the pics 🤩

Jo and Harry were looking for an informal and fun wedding reception and had booked me to host the afternoon as well as DJ the reception party.

Setup in the marquee on the outskirts of Hawkinge, I played background music throughout the afternoon while the guests enjoyed their hog roast and mingling around in the sunshine out in the courtyard.

Having provided a good idea of the music they wanted, I was able to carefully select the tracks for the afternoon to build up ready for the evening party.

We staged a grand entrance for Jo and Harry to enter the marquee. When it came to speeches, I introduced each speaker to ensure they flowed well and then announced the plan for the rest of the evening so that all the guests knew what was going on.

As the sun was out and it was a nice afternoon, most of the guests were happy catching-up and soaking up the atmosphere. We held off the first dance until much later in the evening following a sparkler photo shoot after sunset.

The party went on into the early hours and was great fun (even if the sun was creeping out as I got home).

When I met Kyer & Ben we discussed what they were looking for and their wedding certainly was the "Spring Countryside" theme they wanted at Chilham Village Hall.

With the BBQ finished I played a few background tracks to liven the mood ahead of the first dance.

We'd discussed their music tastes and the music reflects a lot of their requests.

We had planned in advance to have a false ending as it was expected a few of the guests would want to leave earlier and this is a great way of allowing all the guests to see the "final dance" while continuing the party afterwards with an after party.

A fabulous wedding at the Silver Country Hotel in , Chloe & Joe's wedding started with a bang and continued through till the end.

I'd chatted with Chloe and Jo a couple of times to discuss the music they wanted to dance at their wedding reception, giving me a good steer on the music choice.

With the first dance completed, they'd chosen the amazing (and a personal favourite of mine) "N-Trance - Set You Free" to kick start their party (and I can't wait to see N-Trance this summer!). Following on from this I had to slip in a few other bangers from the same era before easing back to a few family favourites and wedding classics.

It was a great evening and shows how speaking before hand can make all the difference as I was able to start with the positive bang and keep the party going.
