Stand Together DnB has raised over 2,000 in just under a month since the album launched!

It's a special project we're proud to support and be a part of as we look to better our label and the scene as a whole.

So far we have raised £2240!

We're over the moon to have made this much, with 100% of the proceeds going to the respected charities we are supporting!

In general, we've been blown away by the support this project has had and can't wait for what more we plan to do!

Ahead of shibumi's forthcoming release (out tomorrow!), we'd love to share some thoughts from the man himself. 😍

"Coming from a French, Black, and Japanese background, and moving across the US from New Jersey to San Francisco, I've been exposed to a variety of different influences throughout my life so far. My work has evolved with me - I've been making music since 2007 across a number of aliases and styles. Drum & bass is special for me because it was the first music I found on my own that I really connected with, but outside of that I listen to a lot of hip hop, R&B, house, garage, disco, jazz, funk, soul...

For "629PM / Morningstar" I was glad to create something with good friends - George Lunn, a super talented musician whom I met through MySpace (!) around 2009, and Hajimari, another incredibly talented artist whose work I really vibe with. We're happy to be able to share these tunes with everyone."

Get to know Heu! 😍

On the back of his recently released two-track Dragonflies / Tamepohe get a further insight into the man behind the music!

All the way from Palmerston North in NZ, it was way back in 2009 when Heu first got introduced to bass music. After learning how to mix and DJ he became hooked and started dabbling in production. Originally beginning with dubstep, he eventually transitioned into drum and bass with his friend Liam. The two of them became known as Matiflow and had multiple releases on Serotone records and a play on BBC Radio 1. Throughout their journey over the next few years they would be very successful by playing gigs all around New Zealand together and producing lots of music and even 2 albums. In 2019 wanting different creative directions for themselves, Matiflow parted, and Cody began his individual career known as Heu. In 2019 Heu started producing his own sound - dabbling with a keyboard and creating beautiful and soulful liquid inspired by his life experiences at the time. He became a common name on the gig circuit and soon after became influenced by the techier roller sound. Heu prides himself on his diverse sound range - being able to produce anything from liquid to Neurofunk. He has now released his debut EP which was inspired by his friend “tamepohe” who sadly passed away a few years back and he wanted to show his respect to the person who got him into producing and dj’ing Drum and Bass!

Get to know SMB! The multi-talented producer and MC ⚡️

After a handful of vocal features, I've spent the last several years pushing my production to be able to write music for myself.

I still see the genre as protest music, so political undertones and references to the dystopian state of the world, are usually featured in my lyrics. These subjects naturally blend with the dark and techy sound. I've aimed to blend world-ending soundscapes and lyrics with a playful, not taking life too seriously, rhythm and bounce. This is the vibe I always get on dancefloors of grotty falling apart clubs & warehouses.
