After becoming tired of TV Karaoke competitions The Songwriting Academy decided to launch a competition to showcase REAL talent whilst at the same time raising money for good causes. They teamed up with renowned music supporters Caffè Nero, who were instrumental in the success of Jack Savoretti and Passenger, to bring real songwriters this unique

opportunity. This competition is ALL ABOUT THE SONGWRITER. It doesn't matter if you can't or don't want to play or sing, we're interested in finding the most talented songwriter, not the best karaoke singer! So if you have great songs we're more than happy for you to use sessions singers or musicians to showcase your songs.
