Here's a little flashback to my visit to Cuba in November 2023. This is me with Angel Matayoshi, a half-Cuban, half-Japanese virtuoso pianist and exceptional percussionist. Angel is also an outstanding educator, and I learned a lot from him!

Now, you have the chance to tap into Angel's knowledge through his two instructional books on congas. If you have any interest in the instrument, I highly recommend checking them out and making a purchase (I know I will).

Angel has designed these books to be accessible even if you can't read music, making the beginner's guide particularly user-friendly. Playing congas is great for developing coordination and musicality skills, and it's a lot of fun. Plus, it's always a good idea to add some Cuban flavor to your life!
