PM Press was founded at the end of 2007 by a small collection of folks with decades of publishing, media, and organizing experience. PM Press co-conspirators have published and distributed hundreds of books, pamphlets, CDs, and DVDs. Members of PM have founded enduring book fairs, spearheaded victorious tenant organizing campaigns, and worked closely with bookstores, academic conferences, and even

rock bands to deliver political and challenging ideas to all walks of life. We’re old enough to know what we’re doing and young enough to know what’s at stake. We seek to create radical and stimulating fiction and nonfiction books, pamphlets, T-shirts, visual and audio materials to entertain, educate, and inspire you. We aim to distribute these through every available channel with every available technology, whether that means you are seeing anarchist classics at our bookfair stalls; reading our latest vegan cookbook at the café; downloading geeky fiction e-books; or digging new music and timely videos from our website.

Today, Wednesday 24th April 2024, marks the 11th anniversary of the Rana Plaza disaster, an act of industrial homicide that killed well over 1000 people and marked a watershed in the global fight against sweatshop labour.

Remember the dead and fight for the living.

Silvia Federici spoke with Undod as part of their campaign launch calling for a Social Wage for Parents and Carers: all those who are not in waged work as they care for others. They are also calling for a pension for carers that reflects their total contribution and not only their period of paid employment.

8 years on - what are things like now for garment factory workers in Bangladesh?
Tune in to Oporajeo's presentation on the 24th of April.

This month marks the 8th anniversary of the tragic Rana Plaza building collapse, the deadliest garment factory disaster in history.

We will be commemorating this year with a series of events that look at the past, the present, and the future of the garment industry in Bangladesh and around the world.

While paying respect to the lives lost eight years ago, these online events will highlight how workers are leading the way in making much needed positive change in the garment sector.

Stay tuned for more info on what's in store and how you can get involved.

"“Almost 80% of African nations have never had an artist receive Grammy nomination, and no Middle Eastern or eastern European performer has ever won the Global/World category. No artist from Africa has ever received a Grammys Lifetime Achievement award.” - Ian Brennan

Renaming the world music category does little to fix its pattern of exclusion, which has robbed audiences of truly global talent
