We are happy to hear from authors in any location in the UK or overseas. We are a people business and love to con

nect with new, interesting and diverse people from a range of backgrounds. We also have a range of events and networking opportunities for authors and are delighted to help authors achieve their goals. Our primary focus is to make book publishing a rewarding experience for all involved. We do this by being honest and giving you realistic expectations; we do not make you pay for services that you don’t need. We consider the needs of each author and create a bespoke solution that can be implemented at your pace. We will only recommend actions that we believe will take you forward as an author. We are approachable and would be happy to hear from you by email, phone or better still, come and visit us (by appointment only).

Many authors publish their work and in doing so raise money for charities. One such author is John Elm, with his memoir Music to my Years. Here is an extract from Darlington & Stockton Times explaining how the book came about and how sales will help raise much needed money for Cancer Research.

What a great review on The Settlement by Ruth Kirby-Smith on the NB website.
Excerpt reads:
It would be hard to overstate how much I enjoyed this story and how much I admired the author’s writing-style. She combined an economical use of language with some truly exquisite literary prose to bring alive not just her richly-portrayed characters, but to evoke the political, social and geographical background against which the story evolves. I think that one of the reasons I felt so immediately drawn into the story, and why it retained its grip on me throughout (and beyond!), is that she made me feel for each of her characters, to experience the dilemmas they were facing and the choices they felt forced to make.

Here at 2QT we are very sad to inform you that on Monday 22nd March, Rob Auty - author, co-owner of 2QT and partner, passed away peacefully at home after a long battle with cancer.

Rob was best known for his Hare's Tale books and he will be greatly missed by fellow authors and the team here. Some have asked about how they can acknowledge Rob in some way. If you would like to make a donation to Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice where Rob stayed a few times that would be very much appreciated. Rob and I were so grateful for the support and care given to us - not only in the hospice but once Rob came home - they truely were an extension of our family - we couldnt have managed without them.

If you would like to donate please do so on the link below, we would ask that you make sure the donation is for Manorlands Hospice and if you would like to mark it in memory of Rob Auty then there's an option for you to do so.
