Get the weekend started the best way, thanks to this excellent guest mix from Just Her for Berlin-based KALTBLUT Magazine, including her remix of Subjacent 'Elward' out today on Jay Hill - Music's People Of The Light Records, plus Just Her's forthcoming track 'Resistance' which is part of an upcoming EP on Barcelona’s Rhythm Cult, released in August.

Just Her said: “I had a blast recording this! I decided to go on a bit of a high energy house and techno journey with a slightly leftfield vibe and a faster BPM than people might expect from me. I started out with some groovy house and ended with some pumping 130bpm techno, keeping the thread of melody and emotion running throughout.

As always I was aiming for at least 50% female, gender expensive and/or q***r artists in this mix, but it has ended up being much more than 50%. There is so much great music from female artists now that there really is no excuse for a lack of diversity in mixes and on show line ups!"

Big release incoming! Happy Release Day to the fantastic ANNA, whose ‘Kalimba Dreams’ single is out today on Global Underground - an exciting taster ahead of ANNA GU46: Lisbon, released in June.

Released in June, ANNA GU46: Lisbon will see the Brazilian supremo step up to curate the internationally renowned Global Underground series which has spanned four decades. Previous Global Underground compilations have been compiled and mixed by leading electronic music artists including Danny Tenaglia, Sasha, Amelie Lens, Solomun, Carl Cox, Deep Dish, and Patrice Baumel.

ANNA explains: “I chose music that makes me feel the way that Lisbon makes me feel, and selected the full spectrum of my music taste, including ambient, house and techno. So, there’s this sense of aliveness, of uplifting energy that reflects the diversity of the city…Few places make me feel as stimulated, inspired and fulfilled as Lisbon. It’s a city where I feel totally at home and at peace. CD1 represents the soft, groovy, mellow, ambient side. CD2 explores the more energetic, club music I’m known for. On GU46: Lisbon, I’ve also included music that I don’t usually play at my shows; music that has a huge impact on uplifting my mood and raising my frequency.”
