Just the girls on their travels to the beach. They absolutely love the beach, it hurts my little heart. As the girls are from a rescue centre, we're not sure how much they were able to do fun things like go to the beach before. So glad we are able to take them! They can be a bit reactive to other dogs, but not on the beach! Happy New Year! I'm a little late to posting, but still wanted to share some thoughts. I love the period between Christmas and New year, I really enjoy setting goals, getting excited for the next 12 months and reflecting back on the previous year. But then the new year comes and suddenly my motivation disappears and I find myself not making the changes I said I would. I was going to go to the gym this morning before my first day back at work, but just didn't. Can't really tell you why, but now I feel low and annoyed at myself for not going. Which is also affecting my mindset at work. Suddenly everything feels a little overwhelming and I have to remember that things won't change over night and doing a little action each day will build momentum and is better than taking no action at all. I still feel very positive about 2024, but am just taking it slow 🧡 #2024 #takingitslow #mindset #goals #overwhelm #beach #explore #outdoorgirls #girlswhoexplore

Following on from my last post, I've also been reflecting a lot about my health this past year... This year I have been struggling with severe period pains which I've never had before. They are causing me so much pain that I am curled up on the floor for hours and making me physically sick, it then knocks me for days as my stomach is so sore from the cramping. It's been physically and mentally draining and scary not knowing why it is happening and that it is going to happen again and again. As a knock on effect, whether from the hormones or the stress, my skin has suffered and is breaking out in spots constantly. It probably doesn't sound like a big deal but it has affected my confidence massively and I just didn't think I'd be dealing with acne in my 30s. Thanks to a number of people, I plucked up the courage to speak to my doctor who has been fairly supportive so far and I've had an ultrasound and have another one booked in to try and find out why this is happening and how we can treat it. I encourage anyone who is going through something similar to do the same 🧡 So one of my goals for 2024 is to focus on my health, not only pushing to get an answer to the issues with my periods, but general health and wellbeing too. Another random day booked off work to spend outside, absolutely going to be doing this more and more! As you can probably tell, it makes me full of energy and joy, there's nothing quite like it! I love a basic sandwich lunch on top of a hill. We drove to Edale then did a 7 mile walk to Mam Tor, Hollins Cross, Back Tor and Lose Hill and it was a 1650 ft height gain. Such a great walk with amazing views! It was very misty at first but cleared up nicely. Would definitely recommend this walk! Thinking about the time I was lucky enough to travel to Vietnam with my day job! I took a day trip from Ho Chi Minh City to the Mekong Delta where I explored islands within the river on these little boats, tried the locally made coconut candy and took in the amazing sights. Why have I decided to take the leap into setting up an online business? ✨ Whilst I really enjoy my current job, the thought of working 9-5 for average pay until I'm 70 years old scares the hell out of me. ✨ I love travelling and spending time outdoors with my friends and family, but rarely have the time to do it due to working full time and so want the freedom to do the things I love, with the people I love. ✨ I have never felt like I had a proper career or am super passionate about a particular job and this sometimes makes me feel like I lack motivation and purpose. Owning my own business is giving me the drive I have always wanted and something I can be proud of.
