Ramadan Special is an exciting NEW initiative on Betar Bangla. A huge proportion of our listeners are Muslims and for the duration of Ramadan our programming will include, shows for women, children's shows, quizzes
& competitions, Bangla & English Fiqh and Tafsir sessions featuring prominent muslim scholars, Special programmes in Somali & Arabic, Debates & Current Affairs, youth programmes and of course lots of entertainment! Betar Bangla is a Community Radio Station, established in 2000, which serves the Bangladeshi and wider communities in East London. Eighty-five volunteers and presenters currently run the station. A recent survey shows over 100,000 London-based listeners engage with our programmes.
