2024 has been a tough one so far. I started the year with a small infection and was prescribed a MEGA dose of antibiotics from an online doctor (I was living in rural mountains abroad). It cleared my infection but also did one over on my body and I’ve been experiencing seemingly endless symptoms of post antibiotic illness. Just some of my symptoms over the last 2 months have included:

- severe stomach pain
- missed / delayed periods
- acid reflux and heartburn
- sudden onset of clinical depression
- insomnia
- migraines
- dizziness
- nausea + vomiting
- extreme fatigue
- blurred vision

It’s been a wild ride.

I am hopeful I have got through the worst of it *knocks on wood* and I’ll continue to be on an upswing from here on out. And I can’t wait to get back to my life.

This week I have been on a mission to learn more about the connection between gut health and mental health and am committed to taking care of this epicentre of my body.

It’s been a rough ride BUT it has allowed me to step into greater understanding of both my physical health and my mental health and the connection between them both. And I am so ready to be on this gut healing journey.

Exploring new places just became a whole lot easier 🚙 Now that we’re mobile we’re no longer reliant on only hitchhiking to get us places (although we’ll still be hitchhiking and ride-sharing some of the time as it’s energy efficient, fun and a great way to meet people).

Hi again, Autumn. It’s that time of year when all the juicy ripeness of summer starts to sour and there’s a crispness in the air that feels like it’s bringing a new energy with it. Something more earthy, less floaty.

I’ve been feeling the cocoon stage coming. I’m ready for some creative yin guidance from the cooler months, although I’ve often struggled to say goodbye to the warmth of summer.

Nature’s cyclical principals are fundamental to life on this planet… the skies, the waters, the plants, us animals... we’re all in constant flux within this wheel of change. This is where I learn how to lean into the ever present ebb and flow, breath and exhalation, of my inner cycles too.

I’m looking towards the gentleness of the chrysalis, the creative fire, the letting go of old and bringing in something new, the incubation of Autumn.

IT’S MY NOMADIVERSARY! 🌎🎒✈️🏝️🌲🌞

365 days ago I left my apartment in the U.K. and bought a one-way ticket out of town. In the last year I have lived in London, Spain, Portugal, San Francisco, Colombia and New York and have had so many adventures and collected so many memories.

Wow, where has this time gone?!

I set out to travel full-time despite the challenges stacked against me:

- working class background
- disabled bodied
- anxiety and was going through depression
- neurodivergent

I have in the works a project that will help others access affordable and comfortable travel opportunities even if you face similar challenges. Keep an eye out for this in 2023!

Instagram vs Reality ☯️ life is full of duality…

After almost a full year of full-time housesitting to travel I decided to book an airbnb as a special treat and to give myself a “holiday” from the responsibility of housesitting. Turns out it wasn’t at all a holiday and I spent a large amount of it crying. A long story short; the airbnb was truly a living nightmare, the host was creepy af and the neighbourhood was very dangerous. So although I had sun, sea and sand I also had tears, exhaustion and anxiety. All this to say that no matter what you see in a single photo it cannot be a holistic representation of the day or even the moment. We are complex beings living complex lives that cannot be boiled down into a snapshot.
