Oh dear....

Our apologies to everyone trying to listen in today.
A Windows update during the night prevented our playout pc from starting properly.

And with our technician being stuffed up with Covid, he hadn't realised until a short while ago as he was in bed. He has now fixed the issue.

The music is back up and running and both Bruce Howard and Geoff Dorsett will be with you from 5pm until 9pm

Hello to all our listeners and fans.

UK Sounds Radio takes health issues seriously.

One of our presenters has been struggling recently under the dual weight of personal loss and arising health problems.

It is with great sadness we announce Colly D is stepping back from presenting to concentrate on getting well again.

So The Colly D Show will be leaving its slot at 6pm on Mondays.

The door is open for her to return if she feels up to it later down the road.

She has been a wonderful contributor to our station, please join us in wishing her well.

Our own Jools, who has been standing in for her will cover that slot for the time being.

Unfortunately, Jools currently has Covid and may not be able to produce a show for Monday. He will find something in his vast bank of previous shows to entertain you.

UK Sounds is very proud of it's presenters and it brings us great joy that our own Geoff Dorsett has been the winner of not one but TWO awards for his outstanding radio shows. His Kick up the 80s and Pump up the 90s are two great shows that he produces among others.

Also, on Tuesday Gordon Cooper has a fantastic Golden Album picked out for this week. I'm not going to spoil it.... tune in and find out what classic he's chosen for us.

Harley Buckner has been off to a strong start since returning to UK Sounds and we look forward to this weeks brain benders..... he proper stumped me the other day.

Our international friend, Rick Haggerty will be bringing music from across the pond and giving insight to life on the other side.

Bruce Howard will be Rockin' us out on Tuesday evening and waking us gently on Saturday morning with his Easy Listening show.

Geoff Dorsett produces multi generational shows covering the 60's to the 00s as well as The Soft Rock Show and always has either an interview or facts and information for you to digest.

Leo Kirby, the Lilting Voice of Limerick covers some of the greatest music of the last 50 years and likes to find alternative versions of classics, extended mixes and such.

The Rock Chick, Emma Scott will take us down Rock Road on Friday evening with a selection of some of the latest Rock songs around.

Pete Nightingale will be Swashing his Buckle on The Pirate Radio Show, paying homage to the exciting days of Radio Caroline and the like.

And finally, Mike Gooch. Our head of UK Sounds. He's been a bit under the weather lately and hasn't been able to make all his shows, covering The Country Shack, The Weekend Brunch and 70's and Reggae. However if he isn't there in voice, he is in spirit, pushing UK Sounds to be the great station it is.

What a palaver!

Web hosting can be a nightmare.

We're back online so now you can listen to us on your PCs, laptops, phones, smart devices...... just about anything with an internet connection.

Except your washing machine! 😂

Morning all,

all those who tuned in to last night's Colly D show would have found that Colly is currently taking a break. Last night, your very own Jools the Tech Guy (me!) had the pleasure of covering her show.

Playing some great 80s tunes, movie greats and a three in a row from a great artist, I hope I did Colly proud.

If you missed it, the show is repeated on Thursday @ 8pm.
