Our website is having troubles again! Fortunately, nothing is broken. All the buttons work but the layout has gone wonky.

This is a problem with the website software. We will be talking to our hosting partners for resolution asap.

Update.

Unfortunately, our web player is still down and it seems to be a problem with our hosting provider.

The website still works but the page isn't working.

Evening all!

On 27th March 1964, Radio Caroline carried out test transmissions then on the following day, began full programming for the most famous Pirate Radio station in UK history.

And now, 61 years later we feel that a celebration of the start of Radio Caroline is in order.

Pete Nightingale brings his Pirate Radio Show on Friday at 4pm and on Sunday, our programming advisor Nigel Chorley has created a 2 hour celebration of Pirate Radio which will air Sunday at 2pm-4pm

**Newsflash**

UK Sounds is constantly changing and improving.

A couple of changes to our schedule here.

Firstly, after a brief pause to concentrate on his very important work as a HEMS pilot, Sam Tompkins will be returning to a new slot. 3pm on Wednesdays with the RedHot Radio Show. Catch him and Rebecca T with the RedHot Radio Jukebox on UK Sounds Radio.

Secondly, Fantastic 50s will move to 2pm on Thursdays whilst 1pm will change to Swinging 60s.

All updates will be available on our website shortly.

Notable for two things, on Sunday we have Mothers Day and also, the clocks go forward for Summer.

So we get to celebrate the most important ladies in our lives and get an extra hour to do it!

A programme designed to emulate the good old days of Pirate Radio Stations like Radio Caroline, where some of the greatest radio presenters and DJs started their careers and without which, modern radio would be very different.
