Good evening!

Evolution is an exciting process. It means that something can change and become better.

That is exactly what we are hoping to do at UK Sounds Radio.

This evening, we are trying out a new set of studio software to help improve our output to you, our listeners.

To start, New and improved OTTO will run tonight and tomorrow initially but will eventually become our default option moving forward.

More details will follow soon but don't take my word for it.

Good Morning!
We hope everyone has had a great New Years celebration with friends and family.

We here at UK Sounds Radio have been with you through our first full year of transmission and we are so pleased with our progress so far.

We've welcomed several presenters into the fold with others potentially joining and we look forward to expanding our platform moving forward.

The first big announcement of 2025 is that one of our shows is getting a re-branding. Harley Buckners "Questions and Comments" is now going to be "Hits, Quizzes and Stuff". Please tune in and catch Harley to test your knowledge, learn a thing or two and just enjoy the music.

It's time to start the countdown, put the champagne on ice and get out the best glasses.
Yes, it's New Years Eve again and UK Sounds Radio is here to celebrate with you.

This evening, Geoff Dorset will be bringing his usual mix of 60s and 90 hits from his musical vault. Bruce Howard will be on air at 7pm with the Christmas and New Year Rock Special, 2 hours of festive Rock hits.

Then, we hand over to OTTO who will keep you entertained with hits from the 70s and 80s up until 11pm where a special curated playlist will run up until Big Ben is ready to chime.

This will be followed by another hour of great music to carry the party on until 1am on the 1st Jan 2025

We here at UK Sounds Radio want to thank each and every one of you for tuning in and helping to build our audience as we develop our station for the future.

We wish you all a Happy New Year 🎉

Here it is! The big run up has started and we here at UK Sounds Radio would like to wish each and every one of you a Very Merry Christmas!.

We have some schedule changes this week to allow for a couple of Christmas specials supplied to us by our Programme Controller, Nigel Chorley.

If you didn't catch yesterdays Christmas Past, Present & Future show then it will be repeated on Christmas Eve at 5pm with normal shows airing one hour later than scheduled.

Then on Christmas Day, join Nigel to celebrate the life and music of George Michael, who sadly passed away on Christmas Day 2016. Also, celebrating the Festive No.1 of Last Christmas on its 40th anniversary.

This will be at 5pm.

So, please join us as we celebrate the Festive season and the life of one the greatest artists of modern times.

Is everybody feeling festive?

We're in the last week to Christmas, the No.1 record is going to be announced later today and we all hold our breaths to see who it will be! Will it be Wham!, Mariah or a rather popular outsider that we hear is doing well? Or even somebody else! You never know and that's the surprise of the Festive No.1.

Coming up, we have this evening, Emma Scott with part 1 of a "Best of the year" show set she is doing, part 2 will be at the same time next week.

Harley will be up to his usual shenanigans every day and we have some breaking news!!

(Drum roll please!)

Our own program controller, Nigel Chorley has created a one-off show of Past, Present and Future Christmas Songs. A selection of songs from the festive season, new and old sung by new and already established artists like K.T Tunstall.

This will air on Sunday @ 5pm.

Oh the excitement!

It's the first of December and that means it's now officially the Christmas Season.

We know some of you like to put your decorations up early, defrost Mariah Carey and wear festive jumpers in November and we would just like to say "you're wrong!"

'Tis the festive month and now we are delighted to start bringing you yule time belters, classics and old favourites, from Gabriella Chilmi to Elton John; Bing Crosby to Eartha Kitt.

Greetings! Things are starting to take shape here at UK Sounds. First, the web page has had a bit of a retouch. Nothing fancy but go check it out. Secondly, Collette Duncan who has been part of this project from the start has decided to bring her Colly D show to the station. From Mon. 22nd @ 6pm she will be on air. And we also have another new name coming up, Sam Tompkins. A helicopter pilot for the Ambulance service, he will be winging his way to us in the next couple of weeks, and he might have company😉 So keep it tuned either online or on your Alexa smart device.
