GOING LIVE

Saturday, 18th of April 2020

We saw our first live broadcast and it worked. A little rough on the edges but it worked. Hopefully this coming Saturday we will be able to focus on content rather than keeping ON AIR. Last week we used DJAY Pro as a mixer for the music, a physical ZOOM mixing desk for the microphone and pushed it through AUDIO Hijacker, then BUTT on a MacBook Pro. We had tried LadioCast but BUTT worked better. We had to stop after 1 hr 45 mins as the laptop froze, I’m guessing that it ran out of memory but need to figure out if it did and why.

This week we pushed everything through Virtual DJ and it went well. Thanks very much to Paul for providing the weeks playlist, 12 solid tunes giving a backbone to the show. This week, we tried keeping to show to a pre defined format. Whilst it wasn’t adhered to strictly, it certainly made life a little less complicated and hectic.
